Can you use a Super EverDrive together with the Super UFO Pro 8?

I have the very first Super EverDrive that came out back in 2013 with DSP-1. If I load up a game into the flash cart's memory, then place the cart on the Super UFO Pro 8, could I essentially trick it into thinking it's just a regular game and that I can use it for save states?

If not you can put the ROM on the UFO and use the DSP pass through function.

Save states. Although I've just bought an SD2SNES after posting this topic so I'm going to sell my Super EverDrive
