I'll agree with Kevin here. No one in the back even realizes what's going down!! You are two sly dudes.

We went into the basement to make the exchange and count the money. The game was out for less than 30 seconds specifically for the picture.

I'm just happy a collector has it, because the last ones have went to people outside of our realm. There's VERY few collectors that have it nowadays.

I agree completely Jason -- the only 3 collectors that have them now that I know of are you, me, and Bunnyboy. Am I missing anybody?

Exactly.  I don't think gaming is at the point where people are dropping 15k to purely invest.   To do a little of both, maybe..

Also.  I sold mine to a collector who shall remain nameless who is not on this list.   So that's at least 4.

You won't either. It doesn't work on a top loader.

The lockout chip in the cart is used to reset some of the logic.  Top loader has no lockout in the NES so the one in the cart won't work, making the cart start up unreliably.

I thought I already replied to this thread... I'm going senile!

Nick, bro, that's freakin' amazing! That's a lot of dough to slap together for sure, and props to you for doing it. It's good to get these kinds of purchases done with *before* you get married!

Don't you need to hit puberty before you get married?  Sorry Nick, I had to go there!

Bronty: does that collector just not want to be revealed or something?

The ones that I know of:

me to buyatari to Nick Morgan
me
me to friend in Chicago
me to collector in Louisiana
me to collector in Netherlands
me to collector in Norway
me to collector in Florida to udisi to investor in NY

Then the ones I did not have anything to do with:
Bunnyboy from eBay
Michiganfan to: ?
Bronty to: ?
Then supposedly programming ace says he knows someone with one not from this list.

Just imagine how much rarer this would be if I had not done the legwork finding some of them 10 years ago!

Hey it would be awsome to do an article in the Ezine about how you tracked down the original owners and othe stuff on these carts.  At least I think it would be a good read.....

^ Ditto from me. I think hearing about the history of the carts would be extremely interesting.

Oh, and congrats Nick, I'm really jealous!
