I am not going to be cause of the end of the contests...so i won't say another word. Ppl have different views about ROMing, and ur poll should take care of that.

Having a personal best > 3 mil I thought I would own this, but I quickly realized how freaking long it had been since I've played it.  Especially the NES port.  Still, not awful.



If I have the urge to play again I'll post another screen, assuming it's higher

People im not crazy like this, i just have to have it.

I've fine with it, have no objections to how the contest is being played, the rules are appropriate, not any different than submitting a pic of your high scores to a gaming magazine such as Nintendo Power or something many years ago. Keep on going Jeremy, don't let what one or two people say discourage you.

Honestly, you'd just have to play a 1pl game to see why.  It's difficult to beat without a second player blowing bubbles for you, 'not impossible though' If  you havent played it you might as well give it a go, it's a damn good game.

As far as the contest, I'd be happy to put my name in the picture next time. Sorry i didn't before. 

Played 3 more games, broke another of my records, but not the highest on here. But what I really like these past few games is the consistency, nothing under a million points, I'm getting better.

If only I didn't miss getting some of the bonus items a couple times, I may've had the top score, missed a couple treasure chest and wands, also there's a couple stages that I keep having trouble with and dying more than I like, I'll have to work on getting better at those.

What makes it so bad here is that you HAVE to get past it without continues to get a high enough score to compete.

That person is going about round 57 the wrong way, the bubbles should be blown towards the center where they'll pile up and allow you to safely jump up to the top platform, at least that's how I'd done it years ago, also because of all the talk about how difficult it is, I just had to try it out again because I didn't remember what was so special about this stage. It took me a few tries, but its not as hard as some of the earlier cheap stages where they throw enemies right on top of you giving you barely any space within a thin vertical shaft to safely avoid or kill them. For 57 just move to the side, concentrate on avoiding laser beams, well after you kill that one whale, and blow bubbles to the center til you got a great big stack of 'em, its easier than it seems, sure if you're not paying close enough attention you can still screw up and die, but for me the hardest part is making up to that round, still having trouble with a couple of the high 40s and low 50s rounds. Guess I'll see how I do when I official make it to that round.

The problem with 57 is sometimes the bubbles dont stack up like they should , you don't have much time, so if you don't do it right the first time that white bastard is gonna get you... Without the green candy it's hard to blow enough bubbles to make the shaft high enough in the short time they give you.

Gave it 4 games these wee hours of the morning, again, managed to beat my last highest score, still a bit short of the top score here, but getting up there.

Ya, round 43 is a killer, you are getting way better! I passed 57 twice tonight but couldn't quit go over 1.4mil. It'll happen though!

Played 2 games this evening so far, I started out really badly my first game, losing 2 lives in rounds I shouldn't even had died in, probably should've started over, even my score was behind what I usually get by certain rounds, but on the plus side, while I didn't beat my previous highest score, I did make it much further, round 57. Yep, finally managed to make to get further than round 52, I was like, "Woo-hoo!", finally. Anyway, in round 57 I got all my bubbles piled up in the center, almost made it to the top and accidentally popped the extra one that I'd blown in order to reach the platform up there, so I tried again, build up the pile again, dammit, popped the whole thing, by then it was too late, running out of time, the laser enemies got angry and with mr. beluga chasing me, it was impossible. If only I got here with more lives, only had 2 lives to work with and being as I set everything up okay I shouldn't have even lost any of them. I'm pretty confident the next time I reach this stage I'll get past it, I was still shakey from the previous rounds, I didn't expect to make it through so many of these stages on just 2 lives, nerves got the better of me. My second game, did a whole lot better, still only made it to round 57, unfortunately this time without any lives at all to spare, actually surprised I got this far, was dying a lot in one stage in particular, aside from that one stage, I really did rather well this time, also, beat my top score, and getting closer to beating the current high score on here, thinks I can do it!
