Ok guys, Me being a diehard Texas Longhorns fan should be upset of the fact that Alabama defeated us back in 2009 for the national title, and believe me....i was!!!!!!!  but im just tierd of all the hype and attention that LSU was getting all season this year. Im just glad that Alabama shut these guys out and showed the world how over rated LSU was all season. Some of you guys may agree with me, and some of you will not agree, but let the truth be told!!!! Im not saying that LSU isnt a great team this year, but you have to give credit to Alabama's defense for only allowing LSU to reach midfield only once the entire game. I am not a fan of either team, but that was an amazing performance by Alabama's defense to win the game. As they say,,,defense wins championships. Congrats to both teams on a spectacular game!!!! Sorry to say but I thought this game was quite boring, I was rooting for LSU for the pure fact that Nick Saban Is a LIAR.(Ie: screwed the NFL Dolphins) Being from the N.W. It's a rule to dislike all sec teams. Alabama's Defense is ridiculously good and congrats to them. I just think there were way better bowl games that aired, than watching a FG fest......

Hated it, cost me a lot of money. I had a bet on LSU from the beginning of the season.

I agree with you bro, for the most part it was kind of boring, its just that Alabama's defense is what kept me watching further. Yes there was better games for sure.... Back in 2005/2006 #2 TEXAS vs #1 USC BCS NATIONAL TITLE GAME was way more exciting than this one for sure!!! 

Poor coaching lost LSU that game. I don't care what Lee's last game vs AL looked like, if a QB does that crappy the first half of a game you don't risk the 2nd. I am amazed they made it back to the bus alive after playing so terrible.

Both teams had great seasons, and bama finshed strong, but I still think LSU is the better team. They are my home team though. So I guess I show favoritism.

it couldnt have happened to a more arrogant fanbase. im an LSU alum, and i've been waiting a long time for something like this to shut them up.

If LSU was the better team they would have won. They didn't, and sleepwalked through what was basically a home game for them. Saban comes through when it truly matters, yet again.

I agree Ray. It was much needed. Sad to see it happen, but everything great needs to be broken down once in a while.

That was a beatdown, it's hard to believe LSU was the same team they played first time. That's how it goes I guess. And with that I got my last bowl game prediction right, oh yeah.

I think that the BS system should be replaced with an 8 or 4 team playoff.

LSU lost their previous game, so, I picked Alabama to win.

I couldn't agree more to anything, I hate this bowl system. I guess it gives some good games, but I think it's wrong. IMO Oregon could have played with 'bama and probably would have go there if there was a playoff system.

Defense may win championships but it sure makes for boring games (if you are not a fan of the two teams playing!).

Alabama's defense is one of the best I've seen in over a decade. A good number of those players will be in the NFL.

Myself, I dont think there is a national champion in division one football,  settle it on the field  16 team playoff. like every other football leauge, even high school plays a 16 round playoff, shouldnt college players be smarter than high school kids

I wanted LSU to win just because I don't think Alabama should have been in the game to begin with. Ok State beat 5 top 25 teams in the BCS 25 and Alabama only beat 2. Ok State had 7 wins over teams in bowls and Bama had 3. Ok State was the conference champion, Bama didn't win there division. Oklahoma State loss was after two basketball coaches died in a plane crash the day before. I didn't even bother watching more then half a quarter cuz I didn't think it Bama belonged in that game. It's stupid that the BCS's twitter is @EveryGameMatters when Bama gets a second shot and an extra week rest.

What they should have done in the 2nd half is put LEE at QB.....Then, maybe LSU would have had a small shot...

Quite a boring game... and I don't like either teams (I'm an Ole Miss fan - go ahead and laugh. ) but I was going for LSU just because I lived in Louisiana for a little while... and it was just a boring game. Alabama's the better team and this game quite obviously proved it.

Could have cared less....boring game mainly field goals....would much rather have seen Okla St. get a shot to display their offense. I hope it received awful ratings.

I agree, the coach said the he benched Lee because of the last game against AL. He only scored one touchdown and 7 interceptions. 7 interceptions sucks, but I don't think JJ threw the ball 7 times, nor did he score one touchdown. 

It did.  Third lowest BCS title game in terms of ratings.  

Oregon couldn't handle LSU. Don't think they would have handled Alabama, either.
