not sure if this is the right place but I have never seen another NES game like this. I picked up a copy of FF for really cheap the other day.

The game cart felt extremely heavy, I haven't felt another game like that. I opened it up and it has 2 erprom chips with stickers on them.

there is also a single resistor or something hooked up between two pins. 

The circuit board seems legit. The cart also has no labels of any kind but those can be removed.

Is that normal?

It's either one of two things: A reproduction Final Fantasy, or a Final Fantasy prototype. Will be able to tell once the pics are put up

PCB board says NES-SNWEPROM-01

on eprom sticker says Final fantasy PRG-L E-1 and the other says Final Fantasy PRG-N E-1

has 2 other Sanyo LC3664N-12 chips on it
a nintendo MMC1b1-H
and a Nintendo 6113B1 on it along with a battery

It is my ISP and I don't get a cell phone data connection at my house, I live out in the middle of no where. Frontier DSL just sucks and I call them multiple times a week to complain.

Go into MSPaint and resize the picture to 800x600 or 1024x768 or something and save it as a JPEG. The file size should be quite smaller at that point.

nice find there.  maybe there's some major differences in the translation or something else cool.

Colored boxes on the name input screen. It is red.
Colored boxes in the shops, money box is green, name is purple.

Possible to take a picture of your TV with the game on the title screen?

The cartridge menttions 'Super Stage' and was wondering if that was on the title screen or not.

Gotta say, still not sold for a few reasons.

What is your experience with collecting NES, prototypes, etc?

None..I purchased it with some other stuff (genesis controller, sonic 2, FF and Alex Kidd lost star for SMS)

it cost like 15 bucks.

I don't recall a drink commanD and I don't recall it saying "monstered perished"

I bought another copy of FF on ebay, so when it gets here I'll rip it open and photo side by side.

i do not see any title screen differences. Nothing extra on there. Not sure what else to say. Is there a very comprehensive list of differences between the Japan version and the NES one and/or any other versions inbetween?

I'm looking for textual differences but so far I  don't see any but it has also been a long time since I played this game. really, so far all I see is the IMP/Gobln difference.

Any other early game enemies that mifght be different

i didn't see a difference on the bridge title card and nothing on the main menu (like when you first turn it on)

decided to ask the seller where they got the game if it was missing the label when they got it.
