I get in a HUGE Friday the 13th NES (and Friday the 13th in general) vibe come late May/early June (when the movies were set). We just did a marathon and started our YouTube channel via the first episode of covering said game. I'm stoked to share it with you guys once post production is finished!

Right around summer time when you smell the air and it reminds you of having a few months off of school I reset Pokemon Silver and have a blast. I usually use my core team of Typhlosion, Crobat, Ampharos, Heracross, Umbreon and Golduck but every now and again i switch it up. Miltank has become a favorite.

Lots of responses about October or horror genre games. Anyone play the 8bit Xmas games each year?

I play horror games in October: Castlevania, Sweet Home, Clock Tower, Holy Diver, Resident Evil...

Chistmas Time: Dragon Warrior 1, 2, 3 , and 4. I will usually throw in whatever new 8 bit xmas comes out and revisit some past ones but I usually dont make it past the card and I have to stop for some special play time.

Summer Time: I usually dont have a lot of time so more quick arcade type games: Mario bros arcade, SMB, Tetris, millipede, radius, donkey Kong classics.

When friends are over: TMNT turtles in time, Diablo, Mario Kart, Smash, Marvel Ulimate Alliance, Baldurs Gate.

I play lots of Castlevania games in October.

Oh, who am I kidding--I play lots of Castlevania year-round.

I play them the most in October though.

I should probably start. I have horror movie traditions for Halloween but I should get on the video games. Can't beat the Castlevania and Resident Evil series.
