The BOX! Will you dare!?
(NES cart shown to display scale of box...and to leave you wondering what game it is.)

Following in the footsteps of other members, I've decided to make a random box of goodies for auction, partly because I have stuff that I'm too lazy to put on feeBay, but mostly because it looked fun. The box in question is a portly 13.5 inches long, 9.5 inches wide, 6 inches tall and probably weighs just around 5 lbs, so needless to say it's jam-packed with games, cases, promotional gear, and other completely random game related stuff. The games have a crazy range of years, from Atari 2600 to PS1, but most are classics. I hope it's ok that I borrowed some, but here are the rules of my mystery box auction:

Auction rules:
Starts NOW
*Ends next Wednesday the 6th at 10:00 PM NA time (EST)
*Starting Bid $10.00 USD (mostly to cover shipping)
*Bid increments of at least 25 cents please.
*No time extensions
*Post your bid in this thread. No PM bids.
*Your purchase is FINAL, no returns of any kind.
*Your bid includes shipping TO THE US ONLY - International bidders, feel free, but please be aware that shipping will be more and will be quoted once the item is finished...I'll give a discounted rate to compromise what 'free' shipping would have been to someone in the US though!

Lastly, I know the approximate value of the box, so if for some crazy reason it goes way over, I'll make sure to send some more random goodies to cover the amount. The fun part of a mystery box is making sure you get enough to not feel ripped off, I think. But this box is just so random, you may find Jimmy Hoffa inside...

Good luck if you're bidding!

haha, by the way, you can make out the game label if you are good enough, and with the help of zooming in .

Really? I took it with my iPhone so I figured the quality wouldn't allow for much zooming in. I was going to do a mini-contest to see if anyone could name it for a little bit of stuff, but figured it would be too hard and just put the stuff in the big box.

Well, this game would be a fun mini-contest, and I would like to first guess Battleship.

You can tell the label is a blue-ish label, with white lettering, only taking up half the label. Anyone with a fairly large NES cart collection can just walk the shelves and pick the one that matches. On top of which the back is the 1985 c version, and that matches battleship as well. I could very well be wrong, but saying, its a matter of process of elimination, and I only looked through roughly 100 carts to make this guess

But if I guessed right, I dont mind free stuff

"Wrong, sir! Wrong! It's all there, black and white, clear as crystal! So you get nothing! You lose! Good day sir!" *nerd points for telling me where pieces of that quote come from ;P)

But yeah, it's not Battleship. Better look for some more carts.

haha I was just saying I dont think it would be that hard to figure it out. I thought it to be wrong though, as it looks like an easily spotted cart if someone had a full collection

But let me take another guess and say willie wonka?

Haha, here's the points. Don't spend them all in one place. :-)

But yeah, shouldn't be too tough with color and word placement/spaceage.

Haha, well ars2pd named it first (albiet spelled it wrong and didn't quite say the whole title) but you two can fight over the points with a sharp pool stick. Make it quick. ;-)

Anywho, this auction is now over, and rpgcollector has won for 30 dollars! Thanks to everyone that bid and I hope you enjoy what mysteries lay inside!
