Hey, all.

Apparently the SNES Goof Troop puzzle game was originally going to be a sidescrolling platformer featuring Max and Pete Jr., as revealed by this scan of an old design document from 1992:

The text header to this document says in Japanese that it was "Created by CAPCOM C2 Planning [Department]" and faxed to Walt Disney Computer Software in the late Spring of 1992.

That's pretty rad, thanks for sharing! Considering how cool the game turned out I think they made the right call though, definitely one of the more unique games on the SNES out there.

Yeah, it worked out alright in the end! Not sure what the cause for the change in direction was--if it was a problem with the schedule, or just a simple creative redirect.

It's really one of the greatest multiplayer adventures on the SNES in my opinion
