I own two devcarts which were the formet property of iguana entertainment. One is a little gray cartridge with a parallel printer port on the back and appearantly a cartridge slot at the top. The other is a bulky black SN Systems cartridge. I have never been able to get them to boot and i dont think theyre supposed to boot in a regular system anyway. What are they for?

If you post some pics we may be able to recognize them better.

Iguana Entertainment is responsible for the N64 Turok games. Turok 2 and Turok Rage Wars both came in black as well...  There's a good chance they contain Turok content. I've never heard of a devcart, is it like a prototype? Can you play it in and N64?

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of these as well.

also if it does look like that it was used to develop turok on the v64. I have some pics of it's use during development. I'm guessing it worked in conjunction with the v64. here's a pic of the inside of the cart - http://i217.photobucket.com/album...

also the black cart is a sn64 dev cart.  you need a scsi card(any pci card),scsi cable, power cable, and the software to use it.  it wont contain anything as it loses memory when you unplug it

the dev carts are gray and TALL.  I have a turok 3 proto and several blank carts.  you can play them in a standard 64 just fine.  they can also be reprogrammed with a nu64 gang writer
