People bid. I had 20k in winning bids at the last heritage signature and I'm not anything special financially. If you've been around for a while, the numbers just get big. You get a big check for one you're ok selling, you write a big check for one you want to buy.

There's two ways to look at it: as an overall hobby, the max price of roughly 100k for a top item is peanuts.    The other way to look at it is that for 1980s and 1990s items, they are expensive.

I think both POVs are true, and both are as they should be. The first POV won't last though, that max price is going up fast.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

I believe the small box version was pack-in only and the big box was the separate retail version that would have come wrapped.

Now that you mention it, you are 100% correct--this was from a deluxe set and I have the Duck Hunt as well which is probably a better example of sticker, cellophane and no sticker seal or cellophane

i bid on most anything that i think is undervalued and have only won a select few on both HA and Comiclink. I'm happy with every buy.

the worst part is drinking and bidding on shit you don't need, nor collect on HA. I won a king of the hill original script and sketches a couple weeks back. Way cool, but i most definitely didn't need it

Oh okay, so it’s not just me. Good to know. I have a Spongebob Squarepants framed original drawing from the show hanging in the movie room. No idea what I was thinking, but man it looks good on the wall.

Did these auction really just end on Sunday, the first Sunday of regular season football?
Can't imagine I was the only one not paying attention to HA today.
Who plans these things?

Prices starting to look a lot more realistic on some of these things. The eBay sticker seal CIBs last night bombed too.

Figured it was a matter of time before the CIB supply caught up with all the new players--

those prices were never going to last, yeah. These new 1-3k kinda prices for regular sticker cibs will last though I think.    It leaves room for actually exceptional cibs (the best titles in great condition) to be five figures like we saw that 7200 cib mario arcade getting close to.

SMB is a wild card being the most in demand.   Where that ends up is anybody's guess.

Well it's all dependent upon condition of course. As someone who has graded some CIBs, 8.5 is a really nice grade that should hold up and wouldn't be easy to manufacture. 9+ are exceptional grades and that 9.2 Mario kinda went low to be honest, if you're to believe the sticker hype has lasting appeal. I thought that one would have cleared $10k at least.

Average sticker titles in average condition not doing well was to be expected eventually. A high condition high demand title doing "weak" (comparatively) is a bit more telling. Though, to be honest, if you had told me a year ago that a Mario Arcade sticker seal CIB in 9+ condition would go above $1,000 I'd have thought you were crazy. When you put it all in perspective it is still a nice price but I would have expected better on that one.

I don't htink too many will cancel as it would be tacky AF and a waste of someone else's time (just receiving an order and cancelling in your system and shipping it back out and invoicing for the shipping is a lot of time lost!).   I'd never even consider cancelling an order.   I knew what I was sending in.

But you're right, there is more cib in the pipeline no doubt.

I dunno guys. Duck Hunt Gyromite and Hogan's Alley all did amazing for the seller if you ask me.

What were those games worth a year ago $100 each tops?

I agree, but I also think higher prices for cib stickers will "stick" around.

You're right...they still did exceptionally well, as did Soccer & DK Jr on eBay, but not as crazy as some in the past few months. I still can't get over how trashed SMB with terrible box is going for several K.....but to each their own

Those prices are significantly lower than private sales of at least DH and Gyro in similar grades.  Significantly.  Yeah, percentage gain from a year ago, insane everyone knows that.  Percentage drop from a month or two ago, pretty high too for people that have been selling and buying these.

yeah but literally everyone has been saying 4-5k for a POS cib sticker can't last... that's the point.   The levels in yesterday's auction are what I think is more sustainable IMO
