That's awesome! Do you plan on keeping it? I'd probably frame it

I had an internship during grad school and had to repluy to all of the letters for kids when they came in.  I hated doing this as it was my least favorite job, but, now that I re-found this, I have a whole new appreciation for the NIntendo employees.  One of my favorite items by far!

Any chance it's signed by Crispin Freeman? I know he was a part of the localization process

Thanks!  I didn't notice Crispin Freeman on there.  I really wish I had the letter that came with it as I'm not 100% sure it's the localization team but I'm almost positive that it was.

Thanks!  I'm really glad that it survived this long.

This is one of the few things that I'm probably going to keep forever.  I think that it's definitely frame-worthy!

Well I don't know if he signed it or not, I just know he worked with localizing the series as well as doing English voices.

It would be awesome if he did though.

NES console, Monster party, Dreamcast console, red button Genesis controller, and SMB were all from 1 sale for $40. It all works well but the Dreamcast only reads discs and won't output video/audio.

Sonic Generations CIB and Phantom Hourglass case were $7 from another sale. Not a bad start to the weekend

Haven't updated this in a while.  Here is (most of ) what I've found since my last post, not 100% sure on the dates for these as my memory is blurry since we had our baby.  Not really anything worthwhile from garage saling and thrift shops, most finds are from game stores with good sales.  I've been looking specifically for Wii and GBA games lately.

Mid-July:  Got the top 4 Wii games from a game store in my hometown while visiting family.  These games can't get much cheaper and look fun so I might as well grab them!  I found CIB Wrecking Crew and Wild Gunman for $35 each and couldn't pass that up.  Bottom three games in the stack were good deals at a local store.  Space Marine was $1 at Goodwill.

Early August:  Found these for $13.99 each at a local game store.  Both are CIB and well below price-charting.  I will either trade my extra or gift it to my brother for Xmas.

All summer:  Got these over the course of a few weeks from a pawn shop that slowly puts out their stock.  Most are marked at what I got them at.  Godzilla, Gungnir, and Harvest Moon were all great deals:

Mid-September:  Local store moved GB/GBC/GBA stock to huge bins that are unorganized.  If you have patience, you can find some deals.  Both Contra games were $8, Doom was $17, Final Fantasy IV was $17, Shining Force was $12, FF Tactics was $5, Daffy Duck was $2, Gumby was $2, and Dragon Warrior Monsters was $7.  All well below price charting:

October 16th: Got this from a thrift shop for $4.94:

October 26th: Got an email last week from Best Buy for a $10 giftcard out of the blue.  Picked this up for $11 shipped:

October 27th:  Great day at the thrift shop.  NES console lot was $30 and came with 2 controllers, a zapper, power brick, Lethal Weapon, and an extra random SNES power brick;  TI-83-Plus calculator was $5.  PS2 slim was $9.  Wii/Xbox/ PS2 games were all between $1-$3 each.  All CIB except Starfighter.  Everything works great.  I had extra cords for a PS2 slim laying around and I started using this one instead of my fat console because the slim gray console is much more aesthetically pleasing:

October 30th:  had a 20% off coupon for a local game store.  Got some solid finds.  I spent $56 which is more than I like to spend in one trip but pricecharting for everything is ~$130.  Sin and Punishment, Street Fighter 3 Alpha, and Lunar are the gems here.  Not bad:

Great finds from this past week:

Got a giftcard to Target from work in a Halloween raffle.  Ended up getting this for $70 from Target on clearence new (before my $30 giftcard, so only $40 out-of-pocket for me!).  Excited to play Vita games on my TV. Came with PS TV, a PS3 controller, cords, and I didn't realize that it included a memory card so that was an added bonus!

Local game store will sell empty boxes (usualy includes manuals) for $3 each.  Snagged all of these.  All except Fighting Golf had all inserts...Ninja Gaiden had 2 Tecmo posters!  Championship Bowling had the poster and original receipt.  Wreslting also had the original receipt.

Lastly, got these for $5 each from a pawn shop!

11/14/16: Mail day arrival. Got this lot for $40 shipped. Includes Dragon Quest Monsters Joker, Radiant Historia, Dragon Quest IV, Final Fantasy 1&2, and CIMA. Well below price-charting. I'm most excited to play CIMA, looks like a solid hidden gem of a game!

11/16/16: Saw someone selling a model 2 Sega Saturn with a few games (Sega Rally Championship, Virtua Fighter 2, 2 Demo discs) on Facebook. I replied less than 10 minutes after the posting. I asked if they had any other games, and they added a SNES console (with Super Gameboy, GB Tetris, and GB Dr Mario), and some PS1 games (Darkstalkers, Darkstalkers 3, Mega Man X4, Mega Man X5, Mega Man X6, and Marvel vs. Capcom). All PS1 games are CIB except Darkstalkers 1 has no manual. Everything works great and my PS1 collection is looking better! Paid $75 for the lot

11/17/16: Found these at a pawn shop for $5 each. They are both CIB, kind of....

...I opened Animal Crossing when they pulled these out from the case and got a little surprise in Wind Waker! Not complaining.

January 8th:  Visited family over the weekend and hit up 3 stores on the way.

First store, I had to dig through a few bargain Gameboy/GBA bargain bins and got these for $15 total.  Kwirk is in the Spud/Tater series of GB games and looks like fun.  Final Fight One is hopefully good in spite of limited buttons on the GBA.  Rebelstar is considered a good strategy game so it really piques my interest.  Bomberman Quest looks like a fun adventure/Bomberman fusion game.  Bubble Ghost is tons of fun, it was too good of a deal to pass up even in that condition.  Great haul:

Next store I got these for $5 each.  Monster Tale and Lost Magic are CIB.  I've been looking for all three games in the wild for quite some time as they aren't overly common for cheap online.   Mole Mania is a Miyamoto game and looks like a great puzzle game.  Monster Tale is a highly regarded platform/adventure type game.  Lost Magic was in a few hidden gems list online so I'll go into it with an open mind. The prices were terrific:

Final store, got these for the prices stated.  All are CIB.  Not uber-cheap but these are solid finds as I've been looking for these for a while.  Drakan looks like a solid Action/RPG game.  Gungriffon Blaze is a Working Designs game and I always like picking up WD games.  Heavenly Guardian was slated to be a Pocky and Rocky game but the sprites were swapped out last-minute.  I'm really excited to try that one out:

Lastly, picked this up locally for $2 a few weeks ago.  I just picked up Darkstalkers 3 in a lot not too long ago so this was cool to find.  Not many online:

February 2nd: won an online contest from Atlus for a free game! It arrived Thursday and I'm still excited about this. I don't have a letter as proof or anything, just the shipping label and online message about winning. Very nice!

February 3rd: Metup with a local toy collector and traded some LEGOs for these games CIB. It was mostly bulk random LEGOs that I've accumulated while garage saling this past summer, only a few figures in the lot.  Not bad!

Gamestop had a Buy 2 Get 1 deal on retro games. I snagged Boktai 2 for $25, Klonoa 2 for $15, and got Klonoa 1 for free. So happy with this find considering what people will pay for Boktai 2

Got Zelda Breath of the Wild Master Edition but I dont have a Switch. I'm holding out for a price drop and playing on my Wii U (not pictured)

Got these from Meijer for cheap. They had these in the clearance section with other Wii/Wii U accessories in Ziploc bags. They weren't used and cheap enough to warrant a purchase.

5/17/2017 - Got all of these from a thrift shop for $2 each.  Gameboy Advance game is Motocross Maniacs, I'm excited for this one as it is a spiritual successor to Excitebike.  All of the PS2 and PS3 games are CIB except the Gundam game is missing the manual.  This was a great haul!

Got these from a local game strore for great prices.  Tom and Jerry box/manual only was $3.  Super Mario All-Star Collection was complete for $15.  Mech Assualt is CIB was $3.

First post since the Photobucket fiasco.  I've had a few local finds since then but this is the first one that I'm trying to post.  Maybe I'll go back and update the previous posts in this thread but beyond the original post I doubt it's worth the time

9/23/2017:  Went to my home town to visit family and stopped at a store that I used to frequent.  I traded in a bunch of DVDs that I don't watch anymore.  Got these 3 games all CIB for great prices plus a wad of cash for the trade-in.

Updating with my last two significant finds:

1/5/18 - Went to a thrift store near on my lunch break and found 2 fat DSs in the case by the registers for $9.99 each.  Not a great find but was talking to an employee about a DS lite they had with a broken hinge. The employee tells her coworker it's broken on the walkie-talkie and the coworker comes out to take the broken DS Lite in back with a basket full of GBA/DS games in-hand to put out on the floor.  I immediately go through it and pull out the ones I want.  The DSs were $10 each and every game was $1.91.

2/28/18 - Went to a Goodwill on a whim after work.  I was walking back to the electronics and a worker asked if I needed help and I said I was just looking for video games and other old electronics.  She told me that they had a Gamecube that didn't even last 20 minutes before someone bought it with games earlier in the day.  I was very discouraged heading back to the electronics section but saw a TON of PS1/PS2/GCN games.  It must've been put out after the Gamecube she talked about earlier.  I scooped up everything that I knew I wanted and actually left a few games there that I would have liked (Turok Evolution, some Spyro games, etc.).  I spent $4 each for 18 games so it got pricey pretty quickly but it was well worth it.  My best find in a long time and probably my best ever at a thrift shop!

All games are CIB except Fire Emblem, Crash Bandicoot 2, and Dragon Quext VIII are missing manuals:

7/8/19. Was out of town for a few days and hit up Goodwill when I got back. Found Chibi Robo CIB for $5.09. The price tag is dated 7/5/19 so it somehow sat there for 3 days. Unbelieveable.
