yeah I had no time I wanted to play so bad to I did beat this game this year as well.

Stage 2 sucks. Don't know why it was such a problem for me. Seems easier now that I played it a million times. I know Stage 3 is easier but I didn't have much time this week.

I'm throwing the white flag. I just did a last ditch run to try to beat Thundercat's run but I couldn't get to the halfway point of level 4. This was my "best" run based on points. I really never tried to get low on points since I struggled the whole week with this game. Now, I don't know what will happen.

It sucks finishing first in the 1st round then out in the second, but it's a tough competition.  Good luck to tier 2 in the finals!

Agreed. I really thought i'd like this game more, since I like the style of game. Bad controls really hurt this game.

 

They definitely should've used the A button to jump and select for the special weapon. I think if they had done that the game would be much easier and enjoyable.

Final update. If there are any arguments about 6th place on either Tier 2 or Tier 3, actual progress through the level is difficult to tell from the pictures. Tier 1 has a clear top 5 who completed the game, nice job!

Its all luck of the draw. I always hope for a game that I have played a ton and really kick ass at. And I say we never play this game again. Going to have to work my ass off on this next game. I will try...I will try and win it for you EgqsKrad (dramatically raising a glass). After I make up everything I was supposed to do yesterday but didn't because I played this game for I don't even know how many hours straight.

I apologize if I came off as whinny at all to you or anyone else.  I was drained last night and got caught up in the moment.  It was a LONG week.

Reading that did put a smile on my face (imaginary glass raised!), but yeah, it's all about the draw.  You really deserved to advance after getting so little play time this past week.  Honestly, I was playing just about all week and I didn't get to level 4 until late on Saturday for the first time.  I can only imagine where you would have been with a full week of play time.  Also, Stinger would have been an even worse draw for me since scrolling shooters are one of my worse types of games, so I'm glad others who actually have a chance advanced instead of me.  However, I'm rooting for you to place this week!

As for Rush'n Attack, I hope to not see this game again anytime soon either.  The only thing that saved my sanity (kind of) was hooking up a remote control adaptor into the outlet my top loader was plugged into so I didn't have to get up every five minutes to press the reset button   DK Jr. frustrated me at times, but no where near to this and its questionable controls.
