Holy shit this game is tough. How can stuff come at you that fast and not be one hit kill? High score is 10,250 so far but I think I can do better....or maybe not lol didn't get a pic of the score, not really sure where to take that yet.

exactly my experience. I managed 14k I think? Wish I had taken a picture because I really can't stand the idea of playing this again.

You're expected to power up your weapon. Look for the F powerups. That gives you more shots.

Since turbo isn't allowed, you might try tapping with your fingers.

Silver Surfer has really good music for a console that came out almost the same time as the Colecovision.

Me, lol. I got this for free.A couple years back I saw the TV posted on Craigslist for $5. I went to pick it up and I think this guy was a blue angel. He was like 6'4, mid 40's, seemed like a military guy, and he was wearing a Blue Angels sweater. He said he was moving to Germany and no one wanted the TV, when I went to give him the $5 he told me to keep it and handed me the TV.

This is an emulator week for me because I forgot to buy the cart. Oh well. I'm not truly enamored with this game anyways.

Yeah I used to have a 32" trinitron over there but it was warping the stand cause of the weight so I moved my 55" Sony over there and bought a new 65" for my modern consoles. I'll likely invest in an AVS eventually but the time has not come yet.

I am only asking because I once tried to play Mario Bros on a 60" and I was getting atleat 3 seconds of lag. It made the game impossible to play. If ypu're not familiar with the game you may not notice that it could be making the game incredibly difficult. You may want to try an upscaler, there's still gonna be lag, but it should dramatically lower it.

3 seconds?? Are you sure? I've never heard of that much lag. Usually lag is measured in milliseconds which is still significant for the almost frame perfect inputs that you need in some NES games.

Does the 60" TV have a game mode?
 

I don't remember what modes the TV had, but i would literally hit jump and he wouldn't do anything and after a while he would jump. I didn't pull out a stop watch or anything, but you could see the lag. (I was running it through composite cables.)

Wow that's pretty bad. There must have been a lot of processing going on, so a game mode would have helped.

I'm not seeing anything that bad with the three seconds I just get frustrated quick and suck at the game! Although I do have an emulator around here somewhere so I can try on that and see if I improve at all. Thanks for the tip and the heads up!
