To keep the cluster down from the wave 2 thread I'll make a new thread for each wave of the living hell we call Amiibo. As we all know, collecting Amiibo's will make you want to kill someone MacGyver style, but once you compete the current wave it's like a fluffy cat rubbing itself upon your bare leg.

This thread is to keep up with release dates, store locations and to help the fellow Miiber out who can't seem to locate the one or more elusive son-of-a-gun Amiibo that's impossible to locate. Or, just use this space to chat among collectors/users. I've made another poll since it was interesting to guess at which Amiibo would be rare.

I need a megaman and toon link amiibo!! This is the wave I'm most excited for. King dedede looks great too.

This is the only wave i've pre-ordered from. Got a Dedede, Toon Link, Meta Knight, and Ike on the pre-order.

Is this going to be the last wave? Or is there going to be another one? I haven't heard anything about a wave 4.

King Dedede and Bowser are my favorite from this wave. I have preordered every wave so far to be safe. I have 2 meta kinght, 2 Shulk, 2 Lucario, and two full sets of the non-exclusive. Rosalina is the only one I can't get preordered so I'll use my extras to trade for her.

I'm guess there will be no less than 5-6 waves. There will be an Amiibo for every playable character in Smash Bros.

At least! I'm guessing there will be ones for all the Mario Kart racers, too. And it's hard to tell where this will stop -
More Pokemon? More Earthbound characters? Costume variations?

They seem to be selling well so I can't see them stopping now.

I hope Mega Man isn't too hard to find. Don't plan on preordering.

Nintendo said every character from their pose in SSB will be made into an Amiibo. So, after this wave, we will see ROB, Ness, Game and Watch, Dr. Mario, Duck Hunt Dog, Bowser Jr., PacMan and Palutena.

My guess would be at least two more waves, minimum.

Sorry to say but I believe Mega Man is going to be hard to find along with Sonic and Ike.

Well that's exciting. I wonder how they are going to do a Mr. Game&Watch one.

Since Amazon is sloppy with Amiibo's pre order I cancelled the order I had with them I pre ordered Bowser, Sheik, Toon Link and Mega Man at my local EBGames / Gamestop. I will go pick them up on Day 1, I hop eveything will be ok!

I think there will be two more smash bros waves with around 10-11 released at a time or, wave 4 being 6, wave 5 being around 9, and a final round 6 of 6.

Im not too into these but will probably pick up a few eventually, Mega Man, Bowser and Sonic..I wish they would make a Tanooki Mario amiibo and a Mr. Game & Watch.

I think they'll all be pretty easy to track with exception to possibly Rosalina. I pre-ordered wave two well after they were up and all are on their way, not to mention I've seen them all in stores. I think the lesser known characters like Ike might be tougher, but definitely not rare. Everyone is dumping their Diddys on eBay now and it'll probably deter scalpers in the future since they are making little to no money.

I don't see another Marth, WFT, and Villager scenario.

Should be better now since Christmas is over. If they start making Amiibo cards life will get even more expensive. A part of me wants them to make cards and make them random in packs. It will be expensive but fun at the same time, like collecting X-Men cards as a kid. They'll probably just make single purchase cards for people like marth, fit trainer, etc. What I've also read is that smaller figures will be made that are cheaper than the Amiibo out now.

I must be sure I preorder some of these. I want Ike, Mega Man, Shulk and Toon Link. All characters that mean something to me.

All I care is that I get my Toon Link and Sheik. Amazon better do me right on those!

Here's something to talk about: What if Club Nintendo does amiibos?

The ones in stores are 1300 coins and this years' platinum reward is an exclusive amiibo! A platinum Mario?

That would be really awesome, but I think we might be giving CN more credit than it's due. 

I also think the rarest Wave 3 Amiibo is definitely going to be Rosalina and Luma. The lack of pre-ordering available for it and it being a store exclusive are really going to limit the supply available. 

I have all of wave three preordered at amazon, with the exception of the exclusives for obvious reasons. Judging by the fact that they still haven't shipped my preordered pit, and took weeks to ship the rest of my wave 2, I'm quite worried. I thought they were a great option to preorder from when I got my entire preordered wave one delivered to me on release day.

I've got all of wave 3 ordered at Amazon, plus Meta Knight at BB, 2 Shulks at Gamestop, and Lucario at TRU. Rosalina is the one I'm lacking, since Target sucks so hard. I also ordered an extra Ike, Dedede, Mega Man, and Sonic at Gamestop.

I'm not so much worried about Amazon now. My Pit has shipped and I'll have it on Wednesday and I've gotten all my others from them. The Wave 2 was just screwed up anyway, since not all the figures were released at the same time and some stores didn't get them the same time as others.
