I was working on a post and my lame browser backed up and erased it.
Are you limiting this to the NES as you keep bringing that up or any system that was going on that got games or later conversions of games that would fit? Not just Gameboy but also still same hardware but better Color got some stuff too. The GBC got Dragon Warrior1+2 and 3, Blaster Master, 1942, Ghosts n Goblins, stuff you noted like the Mario, Castlevania, Contra, Megaman1-5, Zelda and Kirby stuff, Mr Driller, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter Alpha, Tetris, Top Gear Pocket 1+2, 3D Ultra Pinball Thrillride, Shadowgate, Deja Vu1+2, the laserdisc version of Dragon's Lair, Cannon Fodder, and there are others.
The GB got some stuff too even in Japan we didn't but were part of the older heritage too. Kid Niki on the NES had 2 looked nothing like it Famicom sequels, but on the GB there was a true sequel with the visuals and audio to match called Ganso Yanchamaru. GB got TG16 things like the Bonk's Adventure and Revenge games but not conversions, they were unique. Gradius and Gradius Interstellar Assault were different, as were Double Dragon 1-3 though 2 was mostly so as it was a repainted version of a Kunio brawler. Duck Tales 1 and 2 got conversions with little changed more so on #2 though as did Darkwing Duck. Metroid and Kid Icarus were fresh as were the three TMNT titles. Adventure Island 1 and 2 were revised ports of AI2 and 3 on the NES. Batman got 2 GB games but also a N64 conversion of all things of Batman Beyond for GBC. If you are ok throwing in some more UK/EU stuff Popn Twinbee got released as did Twinbee, Goemon, Parodius, and others in those Konami GB Collection carts in english no less.
I know I'm missing a lot but I don't feel like diving a game list.
