I noticed an article about stadium events selling for so much money and started researching. I found this site. I have two copies, one which has never been opened.

I have been into gaming since the days of the Atari 2600. Actually I still have that as well.

I don't consider myself a collector, and I don't buy games just to have. I enjoy playing games and keep all that I obtain.

The reason I have two copies of Stadium Events is that I have the family fun fitness pad as well. My aunt happened to buy my cousin one for a Christmas present that year. Not realizing that you had to have the pad until after the fact,  so it was given to me. I never really cared for the game and didn't play it enough to risk breaking mine, and having to open the 2nd copy. I do know where they were bought, both came from  the same place. So I can say that the Woolworth's only opinion is false.  They were purchased at a place called Nichol's. It was a department store in Gastonia, NC, about 20 miles from Charlotte.

I am now 32 and can't quite take the plunge of cashing in on some of my boyhood memories. I look forward to communicating with you guys, and will get a few pics up by weeks end.

the woman who sold one on ebay last week was from North Carolina also. Did anyone happen to find out where she got that one?

I believe the lady said she had found it at an estate sale.

This is very, very interesting. Are you saying you have 2 complete, or one sealed currently? Either way that is sweetness! Can't wait to see some pictures!

yeah complete and one sealed. I always kept my games in the box when not in use because a baseball game I used to like so much called Bases Loaded, it seemed like I had to blow on it half the time, just to be able to play it.

The store where they came from closed in the early 90s. In fact that was where i got my first NES. I do not know if it was a nationwide franchise or a local kind of thing. There is now a super walmart where it once was.

Well, if you are not a collector, I would cash that sealed puppy in for the $20k + That it could get. Just keep watching the ebay auction and see if you would part with yours. You always have a complete copy of the game, and honestly, if I were you, I wouldnt want some thin plastic to potentially get snagged and cost you thousands of $$$.

Anyways, congrats on your lotto tickets and welcome to the site

This whole stadium events business is getting intense. Who knew this many people had this kind of cash ready to throw down for a bit of plastic!
