Did you guys know the last post in any thread under News was back in 2017? Gosh. Has there been NO news around here since then? *looks around* *smirk emoticon*


Ok that's enough lame roleplaying; I apologize.

So listen. There's a lot of good shit here on NA. Real good shit. Interesting reads. Here's my thinking, yeah? They're gonna datamine you anyway right? You may as well get SOME recognition eh? EH?

The mods want to feature you (YES YOU!) on the front page of NintendoAge. It's kinda slow-going on there, ya know? You'd never know there was so much interesting stuff on NA by the rarely updated front page. When people land here what do they see? An article from like forever ago. Probably.

If you create (or have created already) something that people might find interesting to read, let us know! If it passes the sniff test we will feature your article/opinion piece/review/whatever on the front page of NA.


Some of you may be looking at this right now and thinking "Hmmmm... new ownership... wants data...". I wanna be transparent as much as I can and so I'll tell you the honest "why" here: The front page is where the Googly bots stop by and see what's new most often. More frequest and relevant articles on the front page will bring more eyes, and thus more users to the site. I want more folks to hang around with, surely you do too. 

This is where you can help. A bit of patreon or viewing ads can pay for servers, but luring in new specime... friends... simply keeps the place fresh and alive. This is a purely opt-in process. A mod may reach out to you and be all like "That's a nice thread you got there... mind if I... Front Page it?", but in general we're looking to you to come to us and let us know you've written something you think people would be interested in reading.

Further, I'd like to make it more well-known that we do contests and such on here. Hopefully get some new blood coming in and playing games. So contest runners, look forward to a PM from me soon (or feel free to toss me a PM saying "go for it" and I'll handle the rest!).


Thanks for reading, and hopefully we can get some fresh eyes on the cool stuff you all do around here, it really is the lifeblood of the place.

Yea there's contributing for the greater good.. but at the end of the day there's no stronger incentive to your average Joe collector than some good ole dopamine.
