Title pretty much says it all.  Someone asked me if I could identify the following cart:

The seller isn't particularly familiar with prototypes so they don't want to test it themselves (in fear that they might damage it).

Any help would be much appreciated!

Someone on NG said the same thing.  I guess I should change my title.

Any idea how I could go about translating the words?

The first step would be to determine what language it is. It appears to be mandarin. I know that japanese borrows chinese characters though, but all those characters appear chinese, to me anyway.
Once you determine the language its a matter of scanning the alphabet for the symbol in your word. After hunting down all the symbols and getting their english'ized translation zhi ghan bo ect, translating should be easy. Its just a bitch getting it into roman characters.

Apparently is was Japanese. It's ????? which translates into "Development planning." It sounds like it's basically saying that the game is a prototype.\

Mystery solved, and thanks for the help!

Now, I'm no expert, but I think that says "This isn't worth anything, so sell it to TheNEScollector for 35 cents"

I'm afraid that I don't have the option at the moment.  The game isn't mine, I was just trying to help out a friend.  We'll see if they're willing to take the chance and test it out.

It's pretty much a nonsensical phrase in Chinese, so yeah, it's definitely Japanese. As far as I'm aware, if you were to read it in Chinese, it mentions something about a drawing.

All of the Japanese characters on the label are used in the Chinese language though.

I went to the seller's shop today to test out the cart. The game turned out to be "Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems." It should be listed on eBay soon.

The two first signs symbolize a name
and the latter three translates somewhat into "planning office"

as you can see from the name of this:

For the record, it says Development Planning Office. I don't know how you got what you did Solariz, but the first two characters in that Wiki article aren't what's written on the board.

At least we know what game it is now

ah, I meant I didn't recognize the first two and just figured it would be a name (on that site the two first ones differs from the game, but the two last ones are the same as written on the game)
The last two ones I did recognize to mean Planning Office

No expert in Japanese at all. Way to difficult language
