Hi there. I was going through my SNES games recently and noticed this one was extra heavy. And sure enough, huge board and stickered chips. It's my only copy so I cant really compare on my own. Anyone have a copy to check it against?
Not too surprising, Outback Joey is the same way. Games with low production runs were cheaper to produce with EPROMs than PROMs, you'll see similar things with many unlicensed NES games. Cool none the less.

Hi, my name is Mark, and I collect (and now sell!) Prototypes.

Hey Hector, did you open your cartridge, i'm very curious about that !
Yes, I did open mine. It doesn't look anything like the original poster's board. It looks like a regular SNES game. I'll take pictures of mine when I get home from work tonight and post them.
I opened mine up and it looks nothing like yours Here's a pic of mine. Also someone else on NA found an odd one with a similar board, but his has a completely different label. Here is the link:
It probably is a prototype. The label on the cart is definitely not a production label.
Edit: for comparison, this is what the production label looks like:
that looks nearly identical, except the lack of a game code and the position of the purple triangle. what makes you think OP has a prototype?
You mean, other than the fact that it uses a prototype label and the game is on a prototype pcb?
are you having hard time reading? what about OP's label looks like a prototype? and by what criteria are you judging the pcb to be a prototype?
Evan mentioned that the game is on a prototype pcb. The fact that it's on a prototype pcb, populated with EPROMs, and has an early label all point to this being a prototype.

by what criteria?
just by doing a quick Google search of the board ID SHVC-4PV5B-01 tells me its a prototype board and its even the same prototype board that the game pagemaster was on http://www.snescentral.com/pcbboa...
HA! Looks like I need to pay more attention to the threads I start. I stopped paying attention to this one after Mark posted about outback Joey. Then I noticed that there were quite a few more posts afterwards today. Got me curious again...
