The second form is horrible.
 

The only way that I could no-death the game was to conserve ninpo so that I had enough to take out the second form. I can't beat the second form with sword only.

Have you made it past act 2 using continues? The game gets much harder after act 2.
 

Actually on an earlier run I did beat him.  Definitely turns up a notch after that.  For me the optimal score is through point glitching, and I plan to do a final run Sunday where I might be able to squeeze an extra 30K or so.

i just beat it on my 5th life. 

Most of the times I die because I stupidly miss a jump and fall into a pit, or I stupidly walk off the side of a platform and fall into a pit.

Almost every run, now, I die at a different spot than ever before. It’s maddening! Lol. 
 

I got a 700k+ score the other night that I didn't bother posting because I felt that I could do better. I guess that means that I should try again today.

I'm still playing for progress with no point pressing. I can't believe that my score is still first place. This game must be a lot harder for everybody else than it is for me. I expect  at least you and tables to beat me if I don't post an improved score.

Ya I haven’t implemented any point pressing technique at all. I just want to finish the game with the 5 lives. 

I did it last night but forgot to have the camera ready. 

 

I do love Ninja Gaiden II, but I kind of wish we were playing the first game. I'm much better at the final act and bosses in the first Ninja Gaiden.

 

Man, I don't think I'm going to even have the time for participation this week.

You can do it. Beating the very easy first level will get you almost 50k.


 

Besides 7-2, the most annoying stage is 6-1. There are so many annoying enemies that leap at you from all directions while the shit in the foreground obstructs your view. I always lose way too much health there.

It's not so much a question of skill, it's more that my wife and I bought a new house this week and all my games are packed up.  I've got my PSP (which I usually use anyway), but the ROM is incredibly glitchy to the point that the train level is unplayable.

Skinny can enjoy gaining on me this week.  I'll be back for the next one.   
 

I just beat it again on my 5th life. I had my phone on and the camera on ready to record the score. I picked up the phone pointed it at the screen but never hit the record button. Wow.

Eh. Not sure if it is my controller, but jumping wall to wall sometimes gets tricky. My Wireless controller was not charged and only played 3 runs. I forgot to take a picture of a slightly higher score.

706,000 is the best I can do this week. I beat the first form, but made too many dumb mistakes to beat the game.

The controls are kind of touchy. Like sometimes I'll jump but not grab the wall and then fall to my doom.

Oh, I see that skinny updated his score. Should I settle for second place or try again? Hmmm... I reallllllllllly don't feel like trying again.

I noticed I was close to one million when after the score from defeating the final form. I can’t believe i fucked up taking the picture. 

I dont really want to play it again though. 
 

Yeah. This game gives out a ridiculous amount of points. Try getting a million points in the first Ninja Gaiden without exploiting a 1up loop.

I should have been able to beat the game within five lives but didn't try as hard as I could have, and kept having stupid deaths.

I like that we both competed for high score without using any point pressing.
