I just wanted to let everyone know that I've joined TCP. And that Unclebob, Shenske, and I are working things out!
Most of you guys have my back on these issues and I appreciate it! But most of this on both sides was a misunderstanding one way or the other! So thanks again for everyone's support!

I understand that Ink costs money too (not $52 worth) but labor shouldn't be factored into at all. If you are already there and the customer is willing to pay for the print and the shipping then everything outside of that is profit. Since neither of us own the image rights i don't think it is ethical to make any profit on the images used at all.

People have there right to pay you for your services even if the price in my opinion is too high. Not everyone has the ability to go out and print the labels off themselves and you are offering that to them. Like i said many times before the main problem i have is the amount you charge ($100) exceeds the cost of printing the labels out, yes even on vinyl. I understand that you didn't come up with the idea of the labels or the amount you charge but you are still standing by that amount now.

If you were to go down to the same sign shop, and have the batch of labels printed on vinyl, it would probably cost you more than what is being asked here.  Despite the fact that he makes a little money for the benefit he's offering, the buyer is still getting a discount relative to what they would otherwise pay for the same service.

His access to the service in question should be worth something.

That's absolutely true! Even if someone walked in my shop with all the artwork for the 289 labels ready to go! I would still have to import all the artwork and setup die cuts for all 289... On top of the actual printing and lamination and diecut time!  I would at least charge him $289 ($1 per label) which personally I think is a bargain! But I got an offer from a customer to do the full set and he would get a preorder going so we would at least have 4 sets of these labels to print, and he asked if $100 would be ok, I agreed, and that's the deal!

So lets say $100 with 4 preorders
$90 with 8 preorders
$80 with 12 preorders

so on and so forth...

How low does it go?

If you can get it down to $50 with 24 orders I'll take 2. Perhaps those already commited at 100 would also be on board for 2 sets? If so that is 10 sets already. It shouldb't be hard to get another 12 sets at half the price.

Those look like quality labels, if I had the complete N64 set I would be in. I am interested in buying a set of 32x labels from you though.

Yeah I would be in for sure if the price was around $50 as well. Let's see what we can do. Can we get an official count of guys in at $50? I like the idea of the $100 guys getting 2 sets as well. Resale potential.

Everyone's order is shipped out. Some sooner than others because of some misprints. Nobody wants those! But the rest were shipped out last Thursday! Post it when you get them!

I made labels like these for myself a couple of years ago.  I just bought return address labels, got a template from their website, and pasted box art into each little label and printed them off on my color printer.

Edit:  Someone PMed me asking for my labels.  Here they are in JPG format:  http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/6172/n64labels.jpg

The labels are at 300 dpi and made for Avery 18167 Mailing Labels.

You can use the empty spaces to make your own template to fill them with box art of other games.

I also did that to my N64 collection! It makes finding games a lot easier! Working on my Famicom collection now but that's going to take a lot of labels!

Time to bump this. I'm aggressively working on my N64 collection and when I'm done I want to get some end labels. So Mario's Right Nut, Mr. Nintendo, rayfield74, Sparky1821, you all order end labels, how do they look, what do you think of them. Any pics? I'll love to hear yours or anyone else who has end labels opinions or pics.

Cool idea, but what if you had to open up the n64 cartridge for cleaning or battery replacement? You'd have to cut the label in half, am I right?

That night the Captain’s granddaughter
Would celebrate her birthday
“I’ve come a long way,” said the Captain,
“From Lost Christabel this night.
Accompanied by my dog familiar,
To blast your rafters with my surprise.
Granddaughter, It’s a foreign mirror
Taken from the jungle by crime!”

In response to offense taken by using the cover projects image. Didn't the cover project steal their images from the actual nintendo 64 game boxes to begin with? My two cents, months later.
