So this lady is kind of stuck up? She's going to make a 5-digit profit either way, but she wants ALLLLL the money? Unless if your consignment deal was more than 25% for you, she should have taken it. I bet when she does list it on eBay it will have one picture taken with a phone and a crappy description. I'm sure VGA is going to deny her so that's kind of funny in itself. Greedy greedy people...

I mean unless she rolled up to the store in a Benz, and walked in rocking the finest furs can any of us REALLY blame her? Hell no. Let's say you werent a collector and found this for 7.99 after realizing it's worth you can't tell me you wouldnt do the SAME DAMN THING.

Yeah I hope to see her here again with in the future. She didnt appear to be a gamer or know much about the hobby at all other than this rare game. She told me about the guy who got athletic world and went back a few hours later for the other cibs. She was there in between those hours i think when they set out this copy along with some others.

our consigment would have been 20-15% negotiable probably.

I would have wanted all the money. After all that`s what she entered the store for. Did she mention any amount she wanted? And her talking about VGA shows she`s knows what she has. You should have drugged her

She mentioned wanting somewhere in the neighborhood of 7-15k. She seemed to understand that we'd be reselling it so we wouldnt be paying retail for it.

Actually, let's say I didn't know anything about the hobby or how to properly list things on eBay.. so let's say comic books. I take a chance on this rare comic book for 7.99. I take it to a local comic book shop, they offer to do all the work for me and I keep 80% -- I'd do it in a heartbeat. Either way, sucks that SavePointVG couldn't get it

How much do you need to borrow to get her back in the store. Loan-Moose is available.

I hate this story for some reason. The lady comes off as ungrateful.

Awesome story. Was this lady a collector? How did she know to pick it up?

Either way, as far as I'm concerned, the more out there, the better. Creates some competition among sellers.

well when she suddenly realizes that selling on her own. She is going to have to deal with Scammers, 20% off the top for fees to paypal and ebay. Plus also get whacked for the taxes on the money made at the end of the year. She is going to regret it.

I dont feel any sympathy for the woman ... You buy a game from a Goodwill for $8 and want to sell it for $15,000 expecting every penny? If she got $10, she should be happy she made a profit. The greed this world has come to is unsurpassed. I havent made a profit on anyone in the gaming community and get irritated when every other person who enters thinks its their right to do so.

Why is it greedy to want all the money? She found it. I'm more curious as to how she knew about it at all.

Why is wanting to get full value for something you have greed? We have no idea of this lady's financial situation.

Yes, I understand that, but most people are outside the retro game community and have never heard of the game at all. If she's a pawner, sure. I'm just wondering if that's the case.

Dude.... offer her 10k and be done with it. You can obviously sell it for more and it will 100% stay in the NA community. It's a bad business decision not to.

So if she had taken the deal that would have gotten her more money, in your opinion, that would have been less greedy? It's her game, she's doing what she thinks is best for her. I can't muster up the outrage, I guess.

He said he didn't have the funds earlier in the thread. Seems kind of rude to chastise him.
