Hopefully the rules are that you only get one life. That way I don't have to figure out where the best places to die on purpose are to rack up more points.

Daburo Doragon is one of my favorite NES games, I like it better than 2 because at least the characters have faces. In two they just look like some buff 80's dopes.

Berugero Taimo on the other hand...

It will be until Game Over.  We did 1 life only the first time around, so we are changing it up a bit this time around.  Check out the 4th post in the Leaderboard thread for the rules for all the games in Block 1.

Yeah, I'm going to need to practice for that then. I'm used to just rolling through it on one life. If there's ever a Super Punch Out time attack contest I've got that one nailed!

Same here.  I can blow through the game in one life, so it will feel weird to have to lose lives for the contest.

I've been working on getting through the Genesis version on one life, but the control is so awful it has to be borderline impossible.

From what everyone is saying it looks like there will be a ton of super low scores and maybe 2 people blow the field away. I will definitly be very low on this one. Has anyone tried the new burgertime on xbox? I got it and it's actually pretty fun.

Not on this one, I suck at this game.

Besides, you beat me at RC Pro-Am, what're you worried about.

I got 6,500 at this game playing it on NESPlay. How is anyone supposed to beat this?

I say we use Game Genie, as not only are the ladders very specific to the point of agony, the enemies keep coming like there's no tomorrow, and making it difficult to 'outwit' them when they're all using every ladder.

How did you do that? Care to explain any tricks, cause from playing, I noticed that if a stunned enemy is on a piece, they'll fall more spaces and get more points. Unfortunately, the game doesn't exactly reward you for going for points, as the peppers are never, AFAIK, replenished.

Also, my score. 9,900

Gosh I hate this game and suck at it very badly. Just getting past the first stage is an accomplishment for me! Definitely just going for participation points this week. Still trying to find a copy of Gradius for next week.

Made it to the sixth stage, which is really tough because a lot of the burger pieces are on dead-end platforms.

That's a very good early score here Bimmy. Keep up the good work!

Played a few times tonight and this game just owns me. I made it to level 3 a couple times but I die almost instantly from the quick green cube like things. My highest score was only around 10K, I hope to find some time later this week to improve it.
