Just want to ask if players are okay with the 'play all your lives' rule.

Twingalaxies set their rules at 'play 5 lives only'. I personally think the B mode is hard enough to let players use all their lives but I just want an input to be sure it's the right decision.

sounds fair to me... everyone is still on an even playing field.

If anyone is wondering how to get to mode B, hit select at the title screen. This is also how you can get your high score pic. It shows the high score for each mode on the bottom.

I really suck at this game  it took me about 20 tries to qualify... I didn't like this game before and now I like it even less.
25500 that's the best I'm going to do on this one without breaking a controller..

I used to love playing this one at the arcade when I was a kid. I hate that red bird though, practically a miracle if you kill it. 73,500

I loved this game on the Atari 2600, one of my favorites, was very good at it, sometimes spent hours playing just a single game before finally losing all of my lives, but the NES version, first time playing this one as a rental many years ago, didn't like it at all, probably played 15 minutes of it at most before deciding to return it for another game. So, picking it up again for this contest, still don't like it as much as the 2600 one, its okay, certainly much harder that's for sure, anyway, my first try gave me 35,000, but when I accidently press start it started the game again and my score was reset, dammit. So I played it a few more times, and so far my best is 52,500. I don't see me putting much time into this one to get good at it, just took some time out from cross-stitching so that didn't get so monotonous, but at least I got meself in for a participation point.

Just make sure to edit your previous entry and erase it (like MrMiniMog did). It makes it easier to compile scores.

I suck at Joust. Best I've pulled so far is around 10k.

Me too... the controls are way too "squirly" for my liking.

Finally had a chance to play and oh did I play this game. I've been going at it for a few hours and I learned slow and steady wins this race. In the beginning I was running around like an idiot not really knowing what was the best strategy. After an hour I stepped it up and really got down to playing. What sucks is I got a decent score(113,500) but I accidently played game A =(. I started over on game B which felt a little harder but eventually got the hang of it. Well enough talk here's my entry. I'll try again tomorrow but I don't think I'll beat my score.

After spending a few hours on this over the past couple of days, this is the best score I can get at this point.

I used to play this on the Atari 800 computer all the time when I was young, but not enough on the Nintendo to remember what it was really like. Definitely closer to the arcade in terms of difficulty and annoying "no way in hell should that happen" moments.

It was great to play this game again after so many years. Looking forward to the next challenge!
