Yeah I'm glad I didn't sweat it and just played Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Just finished up an unofficial "victory run" and got 1.61M. I thought I played pretty sloppily in spots, but I had an awfully good World 8. Bea and I will have to compare notes because I'm sure I'm exploiting another spot or two that she missed. I think 1.7M is possible with darn near perfect execution, but I don't see how I can go much beyond that.

This was fun! I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did.

Yeah, we will. I think 8-3 and probably 8-4 are the main differences.
I had a blast this week, but I was pretty burnt out of Mario last night and made quite a few mistakes that cost me plenty of points.
But it was a lot of fun to keep 1-upping each other through the weekend.

Once again, well done. I end my time on the contest without a championship belt, but it is in good hands. You were better at Mario than me.  
 

I will be updating the final leaderboards in about an hour or so. It looks as if arnpoly pulled out the mega crush in the last 15 minutes of the contest though ... stay tuned!

Thank you, everyone.   I had played so hard last week that I'm really worn out today.

Like I said, it was a really fun competing with everyone this entire contest. Special shout-out to Bea for making the finals a real battle and constantly pushing me to improve. There were plenty of standout moments in this tournament, like the 1943 shootout and the highly competitive Rad Racer contest. I am still in awe of Bea's Joust score. You are all winners to me!

I think we need a proper postmortem for this Super Mario Bros. ruleset. I'll write something up later today or tomorrow.

For such an iconic game which I'm sure will see a return, having your and Bea's expertise on the matter would be great for future iterations.
