Clones usually have issues with Battletoads, Castlevania III, etc. so that's cool if it actually plays everything. Can you swap out the pads with regular NES pads?
 
Gradiente made a 100% chip-by-chip clone back in the 80s, so yeah, it has no problems with any games.
And you can... if you mod it to solver NES ports to it. It uses genesis like DB9 ports, but with a different wiring.
Other main problem it has is that it outputs PAL-M, not NTSC.

You're right Michael, Contra is way more fun playing it the normal way. I'm about to have an anxiety attack here from playing this the pacifist route.

Bea, I can't wait to see what alchemy propelled you to sub 620k. Great job and to everyone else who took the time to fire up this NES classic.

Here's my final score. It won't get me into top 8 or anything fancy, but I'd be remiss not to share what ended up being my best run. Not a no-death, but a decent enough run.

Yeah I've just been really busy and especially on weekends. A few of the recent games didnt really click with me either

I have no idea, I didn't see the edit time either.  I did that first before I bumped the thread with the update right after, so I think it is okay, but man is it close.

If that edit timestamp never shows up and the judges don't want to count my update, I'll accept it.  I'm happy to have finally no-deathed the game regardless!

I was also happy to have no deathed it as I hadn't done that before. I am a bit surprised to see that it appears I ended up in 7th place this week.

This week was crazy in terms of scores. I think the number one score from the previous Contra contest would have gotten 7th.
