I know EXACTLY what you mean, Clay.

Thanks for writing. I apologize for the delay in responding to your email during this busy time of year.
In regard to your email, it is great to hear that you have found a copy of Perfect Dark for the Nintendo 64. Perfect dark was a first person shooter game that was released in May of 2000. I personally enjoyed this game a lot during my mid-teen years since it allows for up to four players to play at one time. All the Perfect Dark cartridges were black.

I hope this information is what you are looking for.

-
Response I received from Nintendo customer support when I asked if they knew any thing about a black Perfect Dark cart.

I know I can score well over a million but just didn't have time this week.. If the deadline was midnight I would've crushed you ,... Next time... Good job everyone, tons of fun as always.

If I had more time I know I could've gotten to a million, but I'm happy with my score and no deathing the game, which I had never done before, but never really tried either. I did it 5 times this week. Woo hoo!

I've really enjoyed this. There is good, solid competition here. It was really exciting for me, as I haven't gotten to participate in any competitive NES contests before this one. I'm glad there are people out there like you guys who are willing to make it happen. I offer my congratulations to the other winners, as well. And, of course, may the odds be ever in your favor.

2013 NINTENDOAGE WEEKLY CONTEST FIRST HALF AWARDS

It's awards time guys   Here are all of our first half winners.  First, let's start with the tournament prizes (A big thanks goes out to ankermane and ookii_risu for helping contribute games):

TIER 1
1st: rdrunner - Mario is Missing
2nd: bearcat-doug - Maniac Mansion
3rd: gutsman004 - Metal Mech

TIER 2
1st: link463 - Bucky O'Hare
2nd: WickedWonka - Robocop 2
3rd: CLAYB1RD - Adventures of Tom Sawyer

TIER 3
1st: 2Legit28Bit - Mega Man 4
2nd: Logo1285 - Kid Icarus
3rd: dropkickorange - Blaster Master

Tournament Elimination Prize
Super Mario History Soundtrack CD - Krunch

ICON PRIZES

And now to announce the winners of the first half icons (A big thanks goes out to ookii_risu for designing these )

2013 SUMMER TOURNAMENT

1st: rdrunner
2nd: bearcat-doug
3rd: gutsman004

TIER 2
1st: link463
2nd: WickedWonka
3rd: CLAYB1RD

TIER 3
1st: 2Legit28Bit
2nd: Logo1285
3rd: dropkickorange

GENRE ICONS

I will be resetting the genre leaderboards for the start of the second half to allow others a chance to win a genre icon.  If you won a genre icon in the first half, you will not be eligible to win the same genre icon in the second half.  However, if you won a genre (ex. Sports) your points will still go toward the overall leaderboard.  You will just have your points excluded on the specific genre leaderboard you won in the first half.

Action/Platformer: guillavoie
Arcade: Vectrex280996
Beat 'Em Up: rdrunner
Puzzle: rdrunner
Shooter/Shoot 'Em Up: rdrunner
Sports: bearcat-doug

A better example would be that rdrunner (sorry Tom, I guess I'm picking on you lol) cannot earn points on the Beat 'Em Up, Puzzle, or Shooter/Shoot 'Em Up genre leaderboards in the second half, but if he plays a game in any of those genres, those points will only count on the overall leaderboard.  Hope this makes sense to everyone.

Congratulations to all the winners   The random drawing for the Mario CD is coming soon

Okay guys, I have a couple announcements to make.  First, bearcat-doug and gutsman004 have agreed to trade their prizes to each other.  So, gutsman004 will receive Maniac Mansion and bearcat-doug will receive Metal Mech.  The second announcement: bearcat-doug has been kind enough to donate his prize to do a random drawing for everyone in the tournament who did not receive a prize   Thanks Doug!  So that means I will be holding a random drawing here within the next few minutes for Metal Mech.  Everyone is going to keep the same numbers as last night's drawing for the Mario CD.  Krunch is the only one excluded since he won the CD.  Here are everyone's numbers once again:

8 - BenPlusPlus
17 - Caleb47
13 - Crabmaster2000
4 - Dain
3 - dev(2)
14 - dra600n
12 - EgasKrad
7 - GameboyRicky
21 - GibbyVA
11 - guillavoie
20 - hitmantommy
2 - LukeAF24
9 - MegaMartyr
18 - milesp1
15 - RetroDave
1 - Shane
19 - Space Jockey
10 - Stan
6 - treismac
16 - Vectrex280996

And we have a winner!  I am also going to attach the image since it is difficult to see the number in the picture

Congratulations to LukeAF24 for winning Metal Mech
