Wave Race is now officially completed!

The slalom mode was a bazillion times easier, so I had little trouble with it. I'm really glad I played this game as it's a noteworthy piece of Nintendo franchise history, and is actually a really solid title. If you like Game Boy games, you might want to give this one a try since it's fairly significant to Game Boy's legacy. I looked up the two sequels on N64 and Game Cube, and I kind of wish I still had an N64 so I could play Wave Race 64. It looks awesome.

I'll most certainly play this game again at some point, though I have to get the non-stop engine whirring sounds out of my head first. It's like the Tetris problem where you close your eyes and see Tetris being played, only instead it's constant engine/lawnmower sounds. OH GAWD MAKE IT STOP! O_o

Also in the completion qualifications for this game, I'd definitely say both modes have to be finished. Slalom mode is so ridiculously easy in comparison to circuit mode that it takes very little extra time to do it too. Hopefully next year I can finally run the thread, and actually stick to it without life getting in the way. I've been working on a completion requirement list for Game Boy games as I progress through the library. I'll just throw it out there way ahead of time that at the end of the year, I'd love to run the thread again if it's okay with the current thread owner.

Bubble Ghost complete!
Gradius the Interstellar Assault complete!

Bubble Ghost is a classic, and always a good time.

Gradius Interstellar assault is an awesome game too, though not as difficult as nemesis.

Hopefully we can get things kicking again, otherwise I might have to start up a new version of the thread. If it comes to that, I'll be glad to be back in charge. I've pretty much decided I'm sticking with game boy.

Currently playing Legend of the River King 2 for GBC. Sadly a little bored with it but hopefully will regain interest.

Whew! It took a bit longer than I remembered, but I finally polished off The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX!   I'll just link to the ending picture instead of imbedding it in the post this time, since I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who might not have played this wonderful game yet. It really is my all time favorite favorite Game Boy / Color game, though strangely I don't think I've ever gotten the "perfect ending" that you get for beating it without dying in all the dozens of times that I must have played through the game over the years. Anyway, picture! http://i.imgur.com/0Sc9Iye.jpg...

WOOOOW! I finally finished Harry potter and the chamber of secrets on GBC!!! I played it on my psp so I could have a lighted screen that I could actually see.

I have gotten to the final battle twice before and given up. The RNG is just plainly ridiculous! first you cant use your powered up spell abilities you've been using the whole game, you get a sword and can only use that which has a fixed amount of damage. You can hit the boss and literally do 0 damage.

also at the end of the game you get cut off into one final area that only has enemy encounters and no shops or anything to buy potions and you can't go back at all, you are basically pigeon-holed to go face the Basilisk. I just ran around that area for about 2 or so hours to grind up enough XP and health to face the boss.

Anyways I absolutely love this game and feel so good that I finally beat it! The animations and graphics are pretty cool for the system and THE MUSIC, some of my favorite GB music ever. I recommend playing this game if your looking for a turnbased rpg that can be played through in about 5 hours if your just having fun. also hella cheap, you can probably find it for $1-5...

Also I'm working on kirby star stacker and want to try for Game and watch collection 2+3. How should I go about 'beating' them. I have played through most of kirby star stacker's line by line mode almost up to the hardest difficulty...

Donkey kong country is done. It is a very butchered port and feels more like a bootleg than official port.

Updated...

That's now two threads where I did the final update, and another I had to provide a good amount of help so they could catch up.  I'd recommend not starting one of these if you can't keep with it.
