A way to block individual topics

We have ways to block individual users from trades, from PMs and from seeing their posts.  Is it possible to set up a way to block seeing entire topics?  Not just topics created by a certain user, but about blocking any topic we don't want to see around.  I use the Latest Posts thread to update on what's new, and some of the topics are often bumped to the top that myself, and probably a number of other people are tired of seeing over and over again (Duck Dynasty anyone?)
Is there a way to make a button on the top of a new topic/thread next to the Bookmarks/Subscribe buttons that would block an entire thread?

On a more serious note, I've played EarthBound today for so long, I feel all tense and mentally worn out.
Then you called your mother and felt better?

Why not just ignore the topics then? Obviously people aren't getting tired of these threads as they keep posting in them

Because seeing them always getting bumped is annoying.

I agree. Seems like it would be a simple thing to implement. So much bickering on this site it's unreal. I sometimes wonder if many people here actually play games or if their main enjoyment from this hobby comes from arguing on the internet.

Just don't click on the thread. Seems like a lot of work for very little benefit.

I see what you're saying about just not clicking the threads you don't like but if such a thread blocking feature were implemented I would get a lot of use out of it. So many dumb threads would be blocked and it would just be pages of pure gold.
