Not only is GW a crooked company these days, but the employees are crooked too.

Pretty sure all the games are already filtered out before they hit the shelves in the stores I've been too, there is only 1 that actually ever has games, and it's usually genesis sports titles. I've only ever found 2 games worth mentioning at a goodwill, FF Mystic Quest and Knights of the Round.

I have never had a solid find at a Goodwill sadly. Only video game related item I have ever seen was a PS1 with no cords selling for 29.99

I find stuff at my goodwill every once in a while, but now I am going to start looking around behind stuff for hidden items. i found a Secrets of Mana and some good titles recently, but it is very rare.

shopgoodwill sucks the prices regularly go OVER retail....probably because people are willing to pay more to support a good cause

Cool that you found them I guess, but really you triumphed over people people who have to work at the Good Will. Even if they get a few games and resale them they are still losing the game of life.

All the goodwills I have been so have nothing but PS1 sports games, or Genesis sports games. I dont even waste my time there anymore. The only other decent thrift store in town, Savers overprices everything. I literally went in there the other day and saw a Double Dribble for $11.99. I have also seen Mega Man loose for $79.99 and SMB2 for $59.99.

i completely agree. They dont have crap anymore, they sell a lot of their games on their own acution website. check out goodwill auctions.

Ouch, I have to believe it's a matter of time before the ones in my area stop putting them out and start putting them online.

The rare times I've stopped into the local ones, this might explain why some of them are just in the most random areas of the store.

Never found anything great at my local goodwill. Usually, it's just some small steals. A few days ago I picked up a copy of SMB3 for 3 bucks, animal crossing (CB) for 4 bucks, and today at Savers, I picked up a copy of Super Mario World and Mario Kart 64 for 2 bucks each. But, today, I found out that one of the workers at goodwill is a collector, so I am gonna start checking around to see if there is anything good lying around

By the way, I want your top gun carts again.....I will get 1000....

I do declare I think that's the ignorant greedy look of the flooring and price stickers of the Louisville east end branch goodwill stores. Either the one in Lyndon or the new one off US60/I265 freeway. They've both done that this year. The freeway one a week ago had a boxed up power pad set for $175, half the styro gone, box stuff hard and put away wet with a fat bulge to what otherwise would have been pretty nice, powerpad white box gone, dirty looking system from what was hanging/peeking out.

I just picked up 2 copies of Conker Live and Reloaded, sealed, for $12 total ($6 each).

They have stuff if you find the right ones and know where to look.

Sort of a similar story but I haven't personally seen the person doing it. The Salvation Army closest to me used to have video games and electronics in essentially the same area but one of the workers there is a collector so they either buy them for themselves before they are put on the shelf or hide them. I've talked to the worker personally which is how I know she is a collector. I'd rather them be in her hands than some random ass-hat coming in finding something for $2 and then marking it up 1500% at the local flea market.

I agree with you very much on this one, I think any collector here would agree using all resources to get cheap games for a collection is needed the way prices are today. If she isn't marking up the prices to resale then I think its great for her, sure I am jealous but atleast shes not tryin to sell them at insane prices!

Such a classic story.. I went to the goodwill in state college PA looking for a job while I was in school, The guy took me for an interview in the back. My jaw hit the floor to what I found, the walls were lined with media, must have been 6 feet high wrapping one side of the room.. There were collectibles scattered everywhere, vintage lunch boxes, board games etc... Even more so, the store wasn't on shopgoodwill.com.. While it was a brief glimpse, there were definitely games there. I have since moved out of that area, but know for certain the managers running that store had something shady going on.. I do not know why they sat on so much merchandise..

What''s the difference between her price gouging or hoarding?  Either way, the game becomes unattainable.
