Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests! Once again I have overtaken power over Bimmy and now bring wrath and suffering upon you all! Mwahahahaha!

This week's game is going to be S.C.A.T, one of the best shooters on the system while having the weirdest name too. 
Here are the rules:

• 1 player only
• Choose whichever character you want
• Play until Game Over
• Take your picture on the Game Over screen
• If you beat the game, take your picture after the end credits. Be quick because it doesn't stay up for long.
• Highest score wins
• Participation: 3,000
• Genre: Shooter/Shoot 'Em

The contest ends Sunday, 9/16/18 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

I played it once on the emulator. I wouldn't mind owning this, but unfortunately it's another rare and expensive Natsume release. I doubt that the unfortunate title helped in the sales department.

I put a lot of time into kings quest 5 for pc. Nostalgia blast glovsie 

 

My wife told me that her and her mom used to play them and I got all excited and then she was like "yeah we would print out a walkthrough and follow it" and I just about slapped a bitch.
 

They should have put the tagline "It's the number two game in America!" on the box. I think that would have boosted sales.

But in order to win the shooter title he'll have to get past bert and tables. I won't be surprised if they both beat this as well. There are only 5 stages. I'm not that great at shooters and I've already reached stage 4.

Too bad the cart is so damn expensive. I might have paid $20 or $30 for it. It's not worth over $100 unless youi're a collector, especially considering that it's so short.



 

Love me some S.C.A.T. (the NES game, of course  ). Top notch shmup. Wave Gun is where it's at, it's like what Spread is to Contra.
