I actually had five lives going into stage 8 and then totally blew this run. Oh well.


 

You've done better than me. I haven't been able to put together anything even remotely decent. I'm still simmering about the whole situation. I know it's negatively affecting my gameplay but whatever my day was ruined so F it.

Just a few general game thoughts. My S3 boss strategy worked the same on all three loops. And I didn't find the driving stages to be that much harder in later loops.

i would say the most important thing which is also very frustrating is that on the second and third loops you really need to take your time with each enemy if i played it like the first loop and really go after them i just end up wasting a life also i agree the driving stages have the same difficulty

How much harder is the stage 7 boss? They're hard enough on the first loop.

Same here! On L2S7 I beat the boss with one health point left after starting with full health.

I might be able to give another shot at this tomorrow and see if I can improve my score. Play this game today would be... a mistake.

My only hope is to have a great run so that I make it to the second loop with plenty of lives and then not fall apart on the third stage boss or something.

I still think that 188k is a good score for this game and I can live with a probable 5th place finish. Many players can barely beat the first level.

Edit: Looks like we came to the same conclusion at the same time! I'm not going to have two straight hours for another run so I'm stuck with my score, but whatever happens I'm really pleased with how I played this week.  

Last night I reached stage 8 with five lives and lost three to the gun guys at the beginning.

We will see. Right now my mind is somewhere else and that will surely impact my performance in the coming weeks.
I might not even match my current score tomorrow.

Was finally able to beat those bosses on stage 7. Unfortunately, I only had 2 lives left. Fucked up and died on Gordon and lost my vest. I'll maybe be able to get a run or two in late tonight after work.

Make sure you get to Gordon with the whip and you shouldn't die to him.

I was looking forward to giving this a try, but it's been a rough week. There are some great scores already and I'm sure they will be really impressive by tomorrow night!

But luckily, that ended Saturday morning. Now I am just in unbearable pain from the cramps.
Topped with some pretty not fun news from yesterday yearly check up of my lady bits, I am in the mood to punch a bitch and I will see how many times I can loop this thing before I feel like killing a man here.

At loop 3, stage 6 with 7 lives to spare right now. Somehow Arnpoly has 10K more points on his score than I have at that point.
But alas, I will keep on going.
