Next weekend I will record it to post it here.
It was... tough. And an 8K run is possible if someone who isn't as bad as video games as me tries it.
I landed too damn many 100 points uppers and a super upper. One could easily cut 1K points from my run.
I seriously doubt that anyone who isn't you will beat your score, lol. Nobody thought that much below 12k was even possible before this contest. You broke new ground.
Holy crap!! That's awesome.... <10k? Jeez. Nice moves.
I honestly can't even figure out the math on how you could get through the game with that low of score. Well done!

One other thing that I wanted to note... and it may have been brought up before (I'm not certain). Bearcat-doug - did you know that your "special submission" high score of ~165k would top the Twin Galaxies scoreboard? Bimmy's score, if incorporated into the scoreboard along side Bearcat-doug's score, would be 4th! That's pretty awesome guys. I think you should consider doing official submissions!
Yeah, I think the TG record is still 159k. I can usually average over 160k on a typical run. I know arnpoly and Bimmy have both outscored the TG record as well.
So what's the highest score possible? If there's lots of people that can beat that record, by how much can they beat it?
I'm just curious to what the actual highest score possible would be.

Yeah, ever since TG decided to make you pay for submissions, people just post on YouTube or Twitch instead. TG is honestly a thing of the past for the most part.
You don't need to pay anymore. Not for a while.
I don't understand why you guys don't just register and smash those scores....? You KNOW you can beat them. Get in there! Settle all this flim flam!
The reason I ever signed up for TG is BECAUSE I could beat some scores. If people can beat them, why not just do it? It's very simple and would take 1 more step.
I mean, don't get me wrong... The new ownership and their "beg" for money with the thinly veiled "right to game" was pretty lame. But hell... if Guiness Book of Records is going to use them as a measuring stick (because of their legit history) then why not be involved?
I have no problem with people saying they can beat the scores, and not wanting to do it. That's their perogative.
But, I think it'd be cool if NA could smash all the TG scores and take them for their own. Why wouldn't it be cool?
If TG is good enough for Tom Votava (rdrunner, one of the best NES players.... ever?) then why isn't it good enough for everyone else?
Hell, I want NA to takeover their whole scoreboard! (I just suck at most games and can't do it on my own, hahaha)
