Thats not too far from south jersey.  Maybe I'll make the trip.  Is there usually a good turnout, vendors wise?  What about shoppers, if I was gonna try to sell stuff?

Last time you could barely walk there were so many people. And yes great place to sell stuff. I know i have a lot of good items waiting for the show. Lots of vendors, lots to choose from. Artists, bands. Its a good time weather your there to make money, spend money, or just have a good time.

Holy lord...I wouldn't know if I should sell stuff or go to try and buy stuff...definitely doesn't look like you can wind up doing both.  If I went and decided to set up a booth, if someone comes with it would they be able to help me set up?  Also, if I do set up a booth are you allowed to check out the other vendors and purchase things before it 'officially' opens?

I was thinking about making the drive out there to the TooManyGames when I realized I was too far for the AgeExpo. The pics make it look like fun.

WOW!  I'd say that's a  good turnout!  AS far as the people selling stuff, is there a lot of vintage stuff?  Toomanygames, doesn't really deliniate whether it's newer or older stuff.   Do regular guys come and set up tables?  I mean, I don't have a ton of stuff.  Or is it mostly like big time sellers?

We would like it to be old and new but we dont have alot of guys with newer stuff. its mainly classic. Actually most of its NES and SNES. We have both small and big vendors. Some of us have one table. Some of us 4. I started off with 2 tables and that was just because i had a ton of systems to get rid of at the time. If you only have enough for one table, thats fine.

^ Chris, don't worry too much about a lack of newer stuff. People go to their local EBGames and such multiple times a week and walk through aisles full of used current and last-gen stuff that they ignore. It's the vintage stuff that they never see that has a mystique. Their perception is that you just can't find this stuff anywhere, and that's what makes the expo special to them.

You and I have constant access and commerce with this old hobby, but for the person who's only ever played or seen SMB1 on a GBA or Wii, it's more like an interactive museum trip than a jaunt down to the games place.

The proof's in the invisible hand of the marketplace. If there was really money in having current-gen stuff at these things, more people would do it. As it is, the market's so price controlled that used copies of the most popular games either never hit a significant discount, or don't stay on the shelves. Unpopular stuff is just so much schwag you'll have to lug home. I don't need to tell you, I'm sure.

oh i couldnt agree more. Thats whats why we do the show. to make this stuff available. The only reason we try to get vendors to bring newer stuff is cuz we always have atendees asking for it. i dont see why. i dont bring newer stuff. maybe a game or two of my own that i dont want anymore. the whole point of the expo is to make games available to those that dont have the acccess to them like we do. Ill buy rare games and sell them for the same price i paid just for the sake of making it available to others. I paid 90 for a dracula x cib on ebay and sold it for 90 at the show just so people could see it. i try to have what people want. weather i make $5 or $50 off of it

^ I'm guilty of this too, many of my nicer things I bought, kept for a while, and sold to fellow NA'ers for exactly what I paid. I had a really cool Brazilian Caltron that I sold for exactly what I paid on it...I just wanted it so I could open the case and compare the board to BootGod's database

Let's see what else, my DWIV strategy guide, mint CIB Maxi 15, a couple of my sealed games too. Some things I made some good money on, but a lot of the stuff I paid full-price for I was just happy to get my money back out of.

I would have sold that Camerica Video Blaster to Dain for what I paid on it, too, if he hadn't stopped me and stuffed that second 20 down my pants! Bastard!

I think perhaps some of your patrons that ask for newer stuff don't understand how tightly controlled the market is. I think what they're really asking for is _cheap_ newer stuff, like a Rock Band 2 for half price or something like that. That's why current stuff seldom does well, people see the prices are right where they should be on the good/new stuff, and wonder why they didn't just pick it up at their local store.

Yeah, i like people to remember me when they leave the shows. So i try to have the good stuff. I try to present myself as nice as i can. All of my display cases i build myself. I try to keep my tables organized. I dont like just piling games out on the table and saying, there you go, feel free to rummage through. No, i want people to be able to find what they are looking for. Each show i try to make my tables/booth look more professional. This time around i got a huge booth that im sharing with a local game store. Its gunna be really cool. You guys should defenitly come. And feel free to come and chill at my booth, there will be plenty of room behind the table. Ill probly have a tv set up for me and my friends behind the table. You'll know who i am when you see me. We are supposed to be getting TooManyGames Staff shirts. Theres only 3 of us that will have them i believe. My logo looks like Castlevania but says ClassicPlastic. My name is Chris if you havent already figured that out, so come up and introduce yourself from NA. If you are traveling from far theres a ton of hotels, motels. I believe we have some on our site. Fortunately for me i only live 2 minutes (literally) from the expo center.

Ugh, you guys pretty much talked me into it. I'm 90% sure I'll be setting up a table.  Do I really need to mail in a confirmation form or is there someone I can e-mail it to?
