Yeah exactly, Metroid is legitimately in "Best SNES game ever" discussions and I don't see anyone making that argument for F-Zero.  And while Earthbound is the cult classic, it becomes more mainstream each year it seems.

I wonder what Star Fox 2 will look like? Obviously it won't be the hacked version that all repros are based off of (I hope!), so maybe it will be the legit finished version that they never released?

I'm happy I don't care about SNES as much as NES because this is going to be absolutely ridiculous after Nintendo suddenly ended the NES Classic. I don't even understand why the ended the NES Classic at peak demand if they're just going to release this.

The Amazon preorder page crashed for about 10 minutes straight. You could click pre-order and nothing would appear in your cart. Every fifth time you'd refresh the page sometimes something would load. After a few minutes of that, the page changed to "Product unavailable". That was for the first round orders for the NES Classic before hype was off the charts. If you consider that "Amazon doing preorders" then, yes, Amazon did preorders.

Sounds like a disaster.  When did amazon do pre-orders?  Did they announce it ahead of time or did it just randomly pop up sometime before launch?
