Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests!  This week's game is going to be Batman Returns.  Here are the rules:

• Play until Game Over
• No point racking allowed
• On the second floor of the department store, if you fall through the floor back to the first floor, your attempt will end there.
• In the stage where you have to rescue the Ice Princess, You must enter the first, the second, and the third window in order to find her.  You must enter those windows to progress the stage, and can't pass them by or your run ends there.
• Highest score wins
• Participation: 20,000
• Genre: Beat ‘Em Up

The contest ends Sunday, 9/9/18 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

Whelp, this game is fucking hard.

I only need to get a higher score than arn this week to get the beat em up title. And he got 75k when this was played last time.

I fell through the floor  

Realy my only chace to play this week since I can only play with keyboard on emulator on my home computer, used a work computer and my controller for this attempt.  Dont think I'm gonna be able to play this game with a keyboard.  Fun game though

If you get the chance to play again, the trick to not falling through the floor is keeping to the far right edge of the screen where there are never any holes, and use the grappling hook to destroy the little helicopters.
 

Ahhh okay thanks for the tip.  I might have a chance to play tomorrow so I’ll try this.  Either way my score won’t be spectacular.  I just want Hatris week to come 🎩

i just read up on a walkthrough, i had no clue about the cat eyes or chandeliers dropping batarangs or power-ups. i was like... wow no more powerups after 2-1 .
