Nah, let's not ban him. Wait for him to come back and talk shit. A Hall of Shame icon would be nice though, but wait until more of the story has unfolded. While he may or may not owe industry insiders money, he has not yet collected funds from gamers, although he really screwed over Piko Interactive and Collectorvision in the public eye by association. Say what you will about Piko, but he runs a good business and great guy overall and I feel that his banning was a bit quick and unfair, and he diserves a second chance on NA.

There's a really nice two hour interview with Piko that really gives a twisted look into the world of Mike Kennedy and Retroland. I implore you guys to take a listen if you've got the time:

Taken from the hall of shame: Piko --------------------------------------- (May 2015) Multiple Offender. Inflating customs value on a replacement box, selling pre-orders when told specifically that isn't allowed, and soliciting donations. Final straw was attempting to backdoor MrMark out of a proto on eBay. The seller reached out to MrMark to inform him someone was trying to backdoor him.

I think we gave Piko enough second chances...

I will reveal a bit more. . .

We've purchased the original Atari Jaguar mold tooling (for the console shell and cartridge shells) and will be rebranding as the RETRO Entertainment System. We obviously have reengineered the system architecture and controller. This will be launched via Kickstarter very soon. We are also in discussions with a variety of very well known game developers to license new games "sequels" from a varity of their arcade/classic console IP's to make a come back exclusively on the RES.

Again if you are a developer and want to get in on the ground floor of this, please contact me right away to discuss.

Mike

That's awesome I would defiantly love to see them. Just curious where did you get them?

the molds were bought by a guy who used them for his dental camera system. Mike Kennedy bought them from that guy to use for this project.

Also this whole project is at the nuclear meltdown stage. Watch some of the latest vids on the Coleco Chameleon. There's a 225+ page thread on atariage that documents the whole timeline.

I think the best thing to do now is just let this become an example of how not to make a video game console.. I was originally excited about the console, I thought it was going to be a nifty little novelty that'd let me play some indie and homebrew titles. It then snowballed into a giant mess with multiple fraudulent prototypes and many more lies about the state of the project. The whole fiasco should be about over with the next update being apology or admittance of defeat with a firm cancellation of the project. This is too far down the crapper to be at all recoverable with literally no support from gamers, consumers, or developers at this point. And the whole drama between Pat and Gamester81 is I feel just some extraneous drama that will hopefully work itself out and not turn into a mess on its own.

I really hope this is the last time we hear about this atrocious situation and that something like this won't happen again. Just my two cents on the whole situation. I'd like to throw out a big thank you to everyone who worked to uncover the lies by the Retro team and everyone who has come forward to work together to reveal what could have potentially scammed people out of thousands of dollars. I hope the next thing that gets the community talking and clamoring this much is something actually good.

Yeah.  I think it's shit that G81 got got so into it.  If anything, he's a big time victim of Kennedy's swindling.  It's gonna take the guy a very long time to get over this, and it's a crying shame.

And I agree, here's hoping we never see RVGS come back.  You wanna make something for retro gamers, do something like bunnyboy's AVS instead.  I'd love that type of platform for SNES, Genesis or Turbo.  Just do something ATTAINABLE!

Retro Entertainent System is already taken.

Might I suggest Nostalgia S.H.I.T. instead?

Nah, I expect nothing less than a full blown out old school rap battle with youtube as the stage...
