It's gotta be real. It even has the crappy plastic that turns brown the SNES used. If that's fake, they did an amazing job.

I mean... how could you fake the yellowed plastic?

so... this is the console that Nintendo and Sony worked on together before they split and sony went off to make the playstation?

Something tells me it's fake. I don't think the intercapped "PlayStation" was used until Sony's own system. Before that it was "Play Station."

Because it's a Super Famicom. The original deal was Sony would engineer a CD add on unit for Nintendo, and also gain the rights to manufacture and sell "combo units" of the CD integrated with the Super Famicom/SNES. That was the origin of "Play Station."

I'm convinced it's the real deal but yet I'm sure you can fake plastic yellowing with brownish paint.

One of them.
If I remember correctly, there was supposed to be a Sony PlayStation CD Rom player that connects to the bottom of the SNES.

I posted this in the other thread as well but figured I would share here too. This looks very legit to me but I'm just curious why it doesn't have nintendo on it as Sony was developing it for them, I was wondering how long it would take for one of these to show up.  Here's the info I have from some paperwork.  Sony was developing the "Playstation" version which was the new Nintendo CD based console that would have a build in SNES cartridge slot to play SNES games as well.  Nintendo also has Phillips making a CD add on that would plug into the expansion port on the bottom of the SNES console, that way consumers that already had a SNES didn't have the buy the full new system.  Here's a refference sheet that was given to Nintendo merchandisers to help with consumer questions on the upcoming system, this was included in the 1992 fall training binder, as the New Nintendo console was slated for release in Q4 of 1993.

Looking for Black cartridge Color Dreams games, last 3 I need:  Metal Fighter, Moon Ranger, Baby Boomer.  Please contact me if you have any of these!

This looks real. The controller is sexy too.
Makes me wonder if there is a BIOS on that console.

Until 2013, no one had even seen a Sega Pluto and boom 2 units were uncovered.

Oh wow, I've always wondered if a prototype of this still existed.

Seems to be a lot of "it's fake." going on, this may turn interesting soon if its real we have gaming history in the works.
