I have been holding on a sub 400K score in case this happened. I will be posting it in a few minutes.  

It looks like I will break my top 8 appearance streak this week. BOO!

I am not happy.

I'm glad that I didn't care that much about making top 8 this week because I'll be 4th on the leaderboard anyway.

And it looks like you're still hanging on to your 8th spot for tier 1 in the tournament.

It was more of a personal goal for me. I'm a bit stunned that I blew it on this specific game. I should have been able to get a no death run, but it just didn't happen. I made stupid mistakes. It looks like I will have missed top 8 by a few thousand points. I don't imagine we are calculating level progress as it's pretty difficult to show. Eh, it wasn't my best, but the best I got in!

Top 8 for this game, skinny, would be level 8-1 with a score lower than ~448k. Totally doable. Top 7 all cleared the game on one life.

 

No last minute score from me.  I spent all my gaming time this week with Splatoon.
 

Well thanks for the info ninji   I didn't take much time to play this week. You did pretty good anyway. 
 

I don't know if I even made Top 8 anymore ... but it doesn't matter anyway. I found the game more tedious than fun after going through it one and a half times. Looks like good competition which is great so late in the contest!

Ok, so for all Felix the Cat pros that finished the game, which screen shot shows furthest progression into the level? arnpoly, ninjistar, Seppatoni are all vying for 8th spot! Please help  

Can you share the screens in one post so we don't have to go searching? I'm on my phone, but could probably help.

I can tell you I died to the very first enemy in 8-1. Also my score was the worst of the three anyway!  

Ha!  It is furthest progression first and foremost so that's why I just wanted some verification since leaderboard points were associated with this.  I know this isn't going to affect your overall placement.   

 

If you can't determine progress then I would just give it to Sepp because his score is lowest. The repetitive level designs in this game don't make it easy to determine progress.

Yeah unfortunately it's gonna be real hard based on those images to see who got furthest. 8-1 is one big repetition in itself, so I'm not sure it'll be possible to tell who got the furthest here.  

It may be possible if someone runs through the game again to 8-1 and looks for very specific cues, such as two rocks at once with one little one in the background, and for Kitty with the Professor, versus without. That said, I believe at least the latter of those repeats as well, so...

I think it would be hilarious if this one point makes a difference for tournament time!

It auto scrolls, so the lowest timer determines who was further away on the stage.
Which means Ninjistar was the farthest away in terms of progress at stage 8-1.

Oh yeah! Lol I totally forgot. So simple.

LOL.  That's awesome. Way to show us all how it's done! I was going to post with a map of the level I found online last night because I was pondering this same thing. How does one determine how far you are?  And you answered it quite easily in this case!
