I agree this game is awesome. Shadow of the ninja is natsume. I got them both around the same time and play tested both of them. I tested Shatterhand for about an hour. When I play tested SOTN it only lasted about 15 min :/

there is a thread discussing the two games. I think Shatterhand is better although I've never given SOTN a fair shot.

Ya, there's been times when I just stop playing. But now that I'm getting older and domesticated, I have plenty of time to play games. 


BTW congratulations Bert. That is really cool. 
 

I completed the game only dying once. But I scored less points, so I don't think there is any bonus relating to lives remaining.

You get a 24,000 point bonus for beating a boss with a full life bar so it's almost a better option to die if you are low on health since the game starts you right back at the boss fight. I wish I would've been more patient during the boss battles when I beat the game since I cost myself several thousand points by trying to rush through them.

 

I did this math as well. I think I might give it one more run. I probably lost 20k by beating it trying not to die instead of strategically dying.

is dying on purpose point pressing? Maybe next time we'll play one life.
 

I wouldn't think so. If you are good enough at the game to be able to burn lives for points, that's just smart strategy.

 

Spoiling lives in order to make more points is definitely okay, as long as there's no extra life loophole (there's no lives loophole in this game as far as I'm concerned).

Score updated! Made it to the last boss with 2 extra lives but lost them all. I wasn't able to figure out a successful strategy for that last boss, but I'm happy with how I did this week anyway.

The photo uploader has been down all day. Apparently something is up with the site that only Dain can fix, but the mods are aware of the issue.

I guess my question is.....will my submission count when they get the site fixed???

I never knew it was ok to die on purpose. I tried this method but only needed to use it once and was still unable to achieve a higher score than my current one. Lol. 

Ya, there is a extra life loop. You buy it, die, buy it again.

Yeah. Guillavoie said a few posts up that if you post your score before the deadline, you can add your picture when they get the site fixed.
