Ok, I have assigned everyone who participated this week a random number to win the prize.  ookii_risu is the only one exempt at her own request since she is helping fund the prizes.  Thanks ookii   I will be using a random number generator to determine the winner and will post the picture on here as soon as I pick the number.  I was able to get the sticker off the back of the game, but it left a couple of very small wear marks on the edge of the back label.  The game has also been cleaned and tested and powered up the first time I stuck it in my NES.  The winner won't be disappointed in this game   I will send the winner a PM after the drawing.  There are 50 people eligible for the game so everyone will be assigned a number 1 through 50.  Here's everyone's number:

Congrats lerugray! And congrats everyone who manged to get into the top 10. I was played out after Dr. Mario. I didn't try Donkey Kong until the weekend and I regret it. On to gradius!

1 and 50 were possible numbers.  I tested the number generator prior to assigning numbers and I was able to get both numbers.

 Pretty cool that we had 51 competitors, amazing turn out!

Well, honestly, might have not improved my score with more time, If I play too much, I get bored and lose focus!  Just glad I got a good run in, after starting with a couple of short duds.

My high score for TG took roughly 7.5 hours, But if you mean how long I've been playing, luckily I started keeping a log, after getting the idea from Miss Clawful:
My first game was 2-18-2011, and I set the record 3-17-2012, so almost 13 months.  I played somewhere around 170 games, starting with a modest 12,400 on my first try, (not even completing loop 1).

 

Thanks Tom, my wife plans to take her mother on a birthday trip, sometime in late March; I'm staying home, so that weekend should hopefully work!
 

Anyway.....good luck with Gradius everyone!

^^Sorry, JD, I didn't see your post until now. That's amazing how far you came to achieve that goal. Something to aspire to, for sure (although I doubt I could get myself to sit down and play for 7 hours straight without a break).
