I'd have posted but after the rules were updated, I haven't had much time to play and only have a 19,920 score I can post... hoping that's not it for me, hah!

Post up a score, man!

I've given it a few runs, but haven't generated much more than my current score. I need to balance my techniques for longevity and survival. I've only made it to just inside the Ice Princess' window.

Things are pretty quiet this week. Is this an uncommon game? Maybe everyone's busy? hmmmm

Good question. We only had 11 people play during the 2013 contest. It's a fun game, so hopefully more people give it a try.

I'll have a score this weekend. Been working 10 and 12 hour shifts.

I'm confused on whether or not I broke the point racking rule in the Ice Princess level (Stage 3-1). In that stage I entered three windows. The first one didn't have an arrow but the second and third ones did. The enemy layouts were different after the window areas so I believe I did not loop the level in any way, but I just want to be sure I did it correctly. Can anyone confirm?

First time really playing this one! It took me three tries to beat the Stage 1 boss and then after that I made it all the way to the end of Stage 3. I just barely missed beating that stage too.

Based on my experience, you record the Penguin's conversation in the first window, the second window just has enemies and the third window is where the Ice Princess is located. Since you entered them in order, that should be fine. The level only loops if you don't enter the windows.

I usually don't have the games to play these competitions.

Wizards & Warriors is the game contest scheduled for Halloween week. If you're interested in joining in on the competitions, here's a link to the schedule thread for the rest of this year: http://nintendoage.com/forum/mess...

Yes, I did some experimenting, you must enter the first window with no arrow to advance and if you don't enter the third window the level loops.

Thank you both, I appreciate the research!    I'm not positive if I'll have any more time to play this week so I'd hate my first attempt to go to waste!

I changed the rule about the Ice Princess stage. You guys must enter the first, the second, and the third window in order to find the princess.

I gave it a go earlier this week, and fell through the floor on the second stage . I'll see if I can find time to try again tomorrow.

I wouldn't say shotty control, but it really sucks when Batman won't stop swinging in the wrong direction. That always leads me to taking damage. Once he starts a series of punches he just doesn't wanna turn around for me

The hit detection seems pretty bad. While I didn't have a problem turning batman around. The fact that when I try to jump down he does that slide move and when I want him to do the slide move sometimes just stands there taking a beating lol. I just figured out the bat-a-rang on my last run.

Yeah, the controls suck.  Can't jump while moving down the screen.

The biggest issue I had with the controls was trying to jump towards the bottom of the screen. If you don't hit the A button to jump first and then push down, it's way too easy to do the slide by accident. Throwing the batarangs has a similar problem. If you don't push up and B at the exact same time, you'll take a step upwards and completely miss your target. Since the slide is an attack, it would've made more sense to use down and B instead.
