Those of you playing Dark Souls - did you bother to do the Painted World of Ariamis? One of my favorite places in the game.

Edit* beat Diablo 3 last night! I know Quaze already beat it for the thread, just been trying to catch up to him since we were jammin on it together quite a bit. Now a level 23 Paragon. Fired up adventure mode of a harder difficulty and it seems pretty fun so far! Took out a few bounties.

When you were in Anor Londo you had to go through the rafters of a large building. At the back of that building is a huge painting. You can enter it with an item you get when you revisit the place you started the game in (the prison).

You have to go to the crow's nest and curl up in a ball. It'll come pick you up.

Yes.  But then I got to the end and the woman asking me politely to leave, and I didn't know what to do so I left.  I think I must have killed her in my original run because I kind of recall a fight in that sort of structure.

I have the two(?) bosses in Ariamis, the demon back in the starting area, the dragon thing in the ice area, and that underground lava area left.  And the DLC, which I finally found the ring for, again.  I imagine that one should be kind of tricky.
 

So you've done Nito and Four Kings? There's no ring to access the DLC, but there is a pendant involved. Are you referring to the ring that allows you to fight Four Kings maybe?

Yes, you can fight Crossbreed Priscilla in the Painted World of Ariamis, though she is optional (they made her optional because you can't leave the Painted World aside from getting by her).

Main story is pretty short but there is lots of shit to do afterword, gotta get all the Pokertapes and what not I think I put about 25 hours on er maybe.

For me personally it was fucking awesome because it was a pseudo-remake of the original Red/Blue tapes which I haven't replayed in a long time so it absolutely nailed the nostalgia feels. Plus it had some Pokemon Go elements which I was pretty hard into when it came out so it was super tight.

Well, shit.  That thing just opened up a door that appears to be a shortcut between two areas I already cleared.  So... no idea where the DLC is.  Guess I'll hope to come across it while making progress, and if not, I'll have to finally resort to outside help.

 

Yeah I figured that's what you were talking about, it's just a shortcut to the forest, and by extension to Sif.

You'll get the DLC item you need (Broken Pendant) in the Duke's Archives, on your way to Seath. You're not likely to stumble upon the rest of what you need to do though (it's out of the way, in an area you've already cleared) so let me know if you need a push in the right direction.

DLC has kicked my ass a little bit. After that though I only have the final area left I think
