Okay, here it is...the oddest story I've ever heard. I've had a black Captain Comic for some time now, and I've been wanting to put a nice blue one beside it for a while now. Unfortunately, no matter how often I look, I can never seem to find a blue Captain Comic anywhere. The one time I did, it ended up being an upside-down label. So the hunt continued. Now yesterday, I picked up another black cart, and found a blue cart...unfortunately this blue cart ALSO had an upside down label. Basically, I want to trade the black version straight up for a blue one (unfortunately the black one has no back label...didn't notice it until I got home or I would've picked up a different one). I'd also be willing to trade the spare upside-down label copy for something else, maybe a CIB blue one or we can work something else out. Also looking for a pair of boxes and a single manual so I can CIB the copies I have. Anyone interested, just let me know

But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

LOL, didn't I post my story of Captain Comic in the "Greedy Bastard" Thread... I have about 15 of those things right now not inlcuding the 5 in my collection that are CIB. I bought up all the ones on eBay over a 2 month stretch as they were the cheapest game I could find that came with Color Dreams dust sleeves. With all the CD variations I collect I needed a huge pile of those sleeves. What version of the blue regular label do you want blue/blue or blue/grey as I have multiple copies of both? Also I have 2 extra boxes and 1 extra book right now in the trade pile. The book is in pretty good shape and the boxes are not bad but one of them does have a sticker on the back that was partially removed. Both are solid with no missing tabs or anything like that. Both have styrofoam but NO CD Dust Sleeves though! :-)
Oh and if ANYONE has a black with grey back label PLEASE PM me or email me. That is the last one I need to have all 6 Captain Comic variations and I can't seem to find one. I have a box, book, and sleeve waiting for it when I find one. I would be happy to buy it, trade for it off my trade list or whatever.
Thank you!

That'd be awesome man. I can tell that the black one I have available was formerly of the grey back label persuasion, but it was almost completely torn off...just a small corner remaining, and alot of white former sticker left. I forgot I need to get back labels too, so really I need both. I can get black CC's pretty easily though, so I'll sift through them and find a grey label next time I go. I will have to go through your want list when I have more time to see about the boxes and manuals, or PM me a price for them and the two blue variants

Tell you what, if you find me a near mint or better Black with Grey back label CC and a $5 dollar bill (for shipping) I will trade you the two boxes, the book, and a blue/blue and a blue/grey cart for it. I know this is lopsided in your favor but it's all about helping each other out!

I'll have to go hunting next payday then. I checked the one in my collection, but unfortunately it's a black back label. Luckily, Captain Comic seems to be an R1 around town, so it shouldn't be a big deal to find one...
