Zelda link between two Worlds game misspelling

So I was reading the game story and noticed there's a misspelling in the beginning of the game. Anyone else have this.

The spelling is in the start of the story and goes like this

There is a legend oft told in Hyrule Kingdom

Am I right oft should be of?

I think it's old english. Oft probably means often.

Shouldn't it be 'often'?

'There is a legend of told in Hyrule Kingdom', makes no sense either.

Just gonna throw in another confirmation that oft is not a misspelling and that it is a more poetic/archaic version of often.
