Might have one in pretty decent shape (cart in great shape) available soon. Matching serial #s. PM me an offer if potentially interested (pending pics of course). No lowball offers please. I have a # in mind and the first person to meet it will be given the opportunity to purchase the game once it arrives. Posting here and DP but giving my NA brothers the tiebreaker.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Damn...stupid working overtime...I was gonna offer...then again, I doubt I would've been able to afford it for a couple months...Congrats Braveheart

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I'm sure we're all curious: was the offer three figures long or four???

-------------------------

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

Well at least you know I won't have to bid on another one so that makes the next one that pops up one bidder easier!

^ Yeah, I've been telling myself that for years, but every time one Myriad sells, a *myriad* of new NES collectors joins in on the hunt in the months inbetween it and the next one being listed. So having you out of the way, Braveheart, is actually one step forward but another 50 steps back.

Did I ever tell my story of how I missed an $80 BIN on a matched CIB one in 2002 by less than a minute??? Woe... that's all I have to say about my Myriad conundrum: woe, woe, woe...

talk about SHOOTING up in value. I actually got heckled for spending 700 on a sealed one just 12 or 18 months ago. Now used completes are over a k... pretty breathtaking rise, really.

I remember NGD and I having a conversation on the phone about a year ago regarding the CIB copy that was listed at $1,000 in an ebay store. We sort of scoffed at the price at the time, but looking back, that would have been a solid investment.

That was last years $2,400 PAL SE lure to your store item of right now on eBay. Too bad there is no chance a PAL SE will ever catch up and PASS the value as fast as a $1,000 Myriad did to actual value. I think I paid $215 for my MIB PAL SE so that still has a ways to go. :-)
