I'd say Konami by a small margin, but they're both great.

So difficult, if I had to have one or the other it would need to be Capcom.

Classic Konami for me. Current Konami is awful though and I'm trying to keep its awfulness from tainting my beloved memories.

Capcom is really solid though. My choice is all personal preference (mixed with the fact that I suck at all mega man games, even soccer.)

Aren't they all personal preference? And I am glad to know I'm not the only one who completely blows at the Mega Man games.

This is a really tough choice but if we are looking at their entire library I have to go with capcom. Classics like disney nes games, mega man, resident evil, street fighter.

I still remember going to play street fighter II when I should have been in class lol. Some things never change I am on NA when I should be working .

Probably, I just want to come of as making any kind of blunt statement.

Dude, Mega Man, especially NES/SNES Mega Man is impossible. All you people who beat those games amaze me.

Mega Man 1-4 and Castlevania 1 & III... I love those games so dearly and they are too much fun but I suck so hard at those it's not even funny. It's so unfunny, in fact, that I don't even have a joke for how unfunny it is. Now that is not funny.

Too close to call they both had their up's and down's. Seeing as how they are both dead in the water now I think we can agree that they both created some amazing franchises.

Konami:

-Better Shmups
-Better Stories
-Better Run n' Gun's

Capcom:
-Better Fighters
-Better RPG's
-Better Action Adventure's

Both:
-Great Survival Horror's
-Great Beat'em Up's

I used to think Mega Man games were impossible until I beat the original Mega Man about 10-12 years ago. Since then I've worked my way up from 2 through 5 and still haven't beat 6,7,8 or 10. I did 9 when it came out because I loved it so much I couldn't stop playing. But like most games of the NES era, it's all about recognizing the patterns, Once you get that down you're good. If I play a stage X amount of times I'm bound to get it down eventually. But they definitely are tough games, but not as impossible as I once made them out to be. Contra though, those games are impossible!

Both of these companies are complete and utter garbage these days. However if you're talking about them back in their prime, I would give the slight edge to Capcom because the arcade game Street Fighter II: The World Warrior is the most impressive video game I've ever played in my life.

For the NES, Konami. But overall, Capcom.
