This is seriously one NES game with a very strong exploring side that works really well.
Sure, Micronics could have done better with the inputs and the frame rate, and with the bugs, and with the graphics, and with the sound, but this is still a damn good exploration game.
Emphasis on exploration! I’m not gonna bother with posting a higher score on this. I don’t stand a chance anyways.ðĪŠ
Same, why bother playing again when I can just copy a video for a higher score
1.) It's not the hardest platformer in the world, but it's a test of patience even when you know what to do, at least it is for me. The controls are not the best. There are places where if you mess up you can be thrown a long ways down and have to do a tough section all over again.
2.) The game is unnecessarily cryptic with the invisible items, warp birds, etc. Plus you have to jump in the exact spot for the invisible item to appear even when you know where it is (I try not to look at anything else when actually playing and go by memory only.) If not for these aspects I doubt that I'd be resorting to any guides.
There's no shame in using a guide when a game is cryptic enough. I'm pretty sure Bea used a guide to beat Mighty Bomb Jack when we played that.
