Okay guys, this week's contest is for Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball, and it's gonna be a tough one!

Rules:

First of all, you must use this password : LgtwwRG7mtdHTR7R941vOv24y342J

You play against the Amazons.
Player with the best differential score against the Amazons wins the contest.
Ex. : You : 4 / Amazons : 12 = Score of -8

Participation point : Score at least one point against the Amazons.

tough game. i have yet to see the amazons make a critical defensive error, or even miss a tough infield hit. it's also totally a luckshot to hit the ball anywhere not foul.

ok, well i've been 1 out away from a 1-0 shutout before losing, and i took a game into the 10th inning at 1-1, where the amazons never changed their pitcher, and my offense was still totally useless, but i finally won a game.

I managed to score 2 off of a HR, and I was so proud of myself being up 2-0 after 4 innings...and then it all fell apart.

I got a grand-slam today off my first 4 batters. It was quite incredible. I thought that it would say grand-slam but didn't. Of course, next inning I gave up 5 runs and then quit. It's getting really fun now that I'm getting the timing down.

^That's pretty good. I'm lucky if I can get three hits in a game. Almost every time I hit the ball, it goes right to one of their outfielders for an automatic out. I got lucky & hit 2 homeruns in the score I posted above. I'm also lucky I didn't get clobbered in that game, too.

just a heads up for everyone if you manage to actually win the game: after the last out the view scrolls from the field to the scoreboard for a moment, then back down to the field. so, be ready to get your pic right away because you only have a short time to get it.

I think I'm done now. My offense was really good this game, but it took lots (and I mean LOTS) of tries to get more than 1 run by the 4th inning. Once you get defense down, it's pretty easy. That one run I gave up was from keeping Louis in as pitcher for too long, so he didn't throw a curve and it was hit for a homer.

I managed to beat those little sluts 1 time in the whole week, which marks my first victory over the Amazons ever as well !

I almost beat them later with 2 points, but got bummed at the end and lost it 3-2 ...

I don't know what you guys thought about this contest, I personally like it very much!
Playing with a pre-determined team was fuzzy at the beggining, but I realised in the end the lineup was a good one. I changed a few positions and batter rows to solve a few problems I had with the team, it went good after that. Anybody else edited the team?

This was a fun contest, but frustrating though. I've edited the team several times, but nothing has worked out for me so far. I haven't even come close to beating the Amazons. I either lose by like two or three runs or I get absolutely hammered. I'll keep at it for the next couple hours, though. Got nothing better to do tonight.

That's it, I'm done with this game!! 2-0 lead going into the 7th and one more at bat for the Amazons, they steal home after one of my stupid outfielders drops the ball, and then next at bat, hit a 3-run homerun!

Well, let's see...I think I ended up playing 16-17 games total.  This game, I hit about 4 foul home runs just -barely- out, and I stranded one of their base runners on 3rd in 3 different innings.  At least defense is easy when you get the hang of it, so quick reflexes can help keep them at bay.  Just got lucky finally with not allowing any HRs this time.

Overall, did okay for my first competition. =) It was fun. (sorry for attachment, fixed)

Guillavoie: I found that Flip was the best pitcher from what I remember, or at leasti n my opinion, but unfortunately, I got so pissed about losing to them all week, that I took a couple days off before playing another few games today with the standard team. Louis is actually pretty terrible... But I noticed they seem to have a fair amount of trouble with the 'terrible' pitchers.
