Hey guys, So I was going through some things and realized I have 4 Pinball carts, so I got to looking at them and realized 3 of them are completely different, then I grabbed the two that were the same and one was alot heavier.  So i oppened them up and the heavy one has 2 huge chips with a pin connecter in the middle connecting 2 chips, it even has little capasitors on it. I will post pics soon.

1) tiny chip, 5 screws, no made in japan or NES-pn-usa stamp.

2) 2 huge chips with pin connector, 5 screws, no made in japan or NES-pn-usa stamp.

3) 3 screw, cant open it... but has made in japan and NES-PN-USA stamp

4) 3 screw, cant open it but can see a gap in the pins on the chip, has white oficial nintendo seal and NES-PN-USA stamp.

So all 4 carts I have are different.

Weird...? or normal?

Here is a pic of the one with the connecter

Pinball

ANd heres the normal one

A pin connector, you say? That very well may be one with a Famicom adapter inside. The connector, plus the lower chip, would comprise the adapter.

It sounds like the 3-screw carts you have are of the security screw variety (i.e. a Philips screwdriver won't open 'em), am I correct? If that's the case, there's at least one other one out there for you: a 3-screw cart with Philips screws. It should have the old-style seal (round black seal) and it may or may not have the catalog code (NES-PN-USA) on it. Perfectly normal, btw, though Pinball with a Famicom adapter isn't one I hear of often.

Yeah, Zoomer, that's a Famicom adapter in that pic...the connector plus the section that actually plugs into the NES are the adapter. The other part is merely the Famicom version's PCB. If you ever were to sell it, expect no less than $10 or so for it...the adapter is in some demand.

oh nice not bad for that one. You guys should check the weight on some of your carts, if their heavier, they probably have that thing in there, I found 3 just like that.
